I’ve been thinking about how Star Trek doesn’t really have many of those roguish, independent types you see in other sci-fi shows.

Although, they don't follow Starfleet ships around. But they could fit this request for rogues.

He seems too nice to fit in that category.
That book even had these classified ads at the backDefinitely! Yet they couldn't resist teaming him with Starfleet.
A Star Trek: Rogues series could work, but the creators would not be able to resist overwhelming the stories with memberberries or having Starfleet be a dominating presence.
Still, it's a cool concept. FASA even did a supplement for their rpg.
