Why did the TOS films never bring back Carol Marcus?

Replace the bridge, but not the Klingon food packs which apparently, for unknown reason, our heroes had eaten for three months even though they were on Vulcan and fully able to get regular food.

It may only have been Scott that ate them - if he was dedicatedly working day and night to fix the ship, he may not have always taken the time to go for regular meals with his fellow crewmates - grabbing whatever was handy instead.

Occam’s Razor: TSFS’s bridge was the auxiliary control/battle bridge, one Kruge had outfitted with a raised throne so he could keep an eye on all of his crew & menace them with his pet (notice all the consoles save tactical are in front of him). On Vulcan, once the gang starts exploring/repairing the ship, they come upon TVH bridge - larger, slightly better seats, more practical layout, captain’s chair at ground level - and say “Hey, this makes a lot more sense for us to use!”

Sorry to be pedantic, but I notice people increasingly using ground to mean floor. Technically, being on ship, I think it's at deck level.
You didn't go full ''Buckley''* anyhow. I enjoy reading him though 30 percent of his language isn't in most dictionaries. One man's aft is another's left, right starboard, etc, etc....

Don't you like my chocolate in your peanut butter?
Actually, I don't like either one.

The thought just occurred to me: Maybe they never brought back Carol Marcus (until they gave us the Abramsverse version, with a different backstory) for the same "reason" that the Tron sequels never brought back Lora/Yori, and why they got Daft Punk to do the score of one, and Nine Inch Nails for the other, instead of sticking with Wendy Carlos.
