Yeah, we have about the same amount of parties as the UK but it's not like we have two major parties changing rulership every few years or so. Although we have one party here that's been really popular the lasy few years.
Anyone find PG-rated villains on network TV shows kind of funny? Especially these hardened criminals who have been in the life for as long as they know, served time in prison, murdered people. Then when they get mad they say things like "BS" and "crap."
And then on the flip side, these shows that solve a homicide case every week are so desensitized to murder and treat it like a 9 to 5 job at Starbucks.

I would not recommend looking at the list of classic albums turning 50 this year.
Makes me think about "Murder She Wrote". 264 episodes, pretty sure there was at least one murder in each, all decidedly PG.
I think we just serviced a vehicle with the most mileage on it since I started working here three years ago - a 2002 Volkswagen Jetta with almost 500,000 miles on it.

500,000 ÷ 24, allowing for model years being off by one... so a little over 20,000 miles a year. That's above average, though not insane. And if it was used for long commutes on a freeway, there'd be less strain per mile.

Knew a few people who regularly do that, though they also don't get to keep the car that long. I used to know a guy who did close to 50k a year too, though that was twenty years ago.
If a car is doing a lot of freeway driving in minimal traffic, it can easily rack up a lot of miles. It's the acceleration, braking, and short trips that cause the most wear.
Yep, that covered most of his with it typically being a mile or two at each end that wasn't freeway/motorway mileage.
For myself, got to about 130k on one car, but it was some of the electrics that were starting to go rather than anything that made the car drivable. (Mine tended to be shorter hops monday to friday, motorway/freeway and country roads mashup for Saturdays)
I'd probably still have it (and be up to about 160k now) if I hadn't gone for something little more economical.

My car only goes about 5-6k per year, because my commute is about half a mile. I usually walk to work.
Working this weekend. This job is so fucking boring. I fold sweaters all day and clean out dressing rooms.
I've only been working here for three years, but I've come to the conclusion that Toyota, Honda and Subaru are probably my top three for reliability and easy maintenance.
European cars, on the other hand, are way over-engineered.

For most drivers, simplicity and reliability are what matters most. Who cares if your car can go 0-150 in 10 seconds flat if even your fastest roads have a 65-mph speed limit?
