Random Thoughts...or...What's on Your Mind?

I'm no expert on European politics, but Google tells me that Fantasy Lover's country is nowhere near a two-party system.
Yeah, we have about the same amount of parties as the UK but it's not like we have two major parties changing rulership every few years or so. Although we have one party here that's been really popular the lasy few years.

Anyone find PG-rated villains on network TV shows kind of funny? Especially these hardened criminals who have been in the life for as long as they know, served time in prison, murdered people. Then when they get mad they say things like "BS" and "crap."

And then on the flip side, these shows that solve a homicide case every week are so desensitized to murder and treat it like a 9 to 5 job at Starbucks.

I think we just serviced a vehicle with the most mileage on it since I started working here three years ago - a 2002 Volkswagen Jetta with almost 500,000 miles on it.
Sure, we've serviced vehicles that are older, but with not as much mileage.

500,000 ÷ 24, allowing for model years being off by one... so a little over 20,000 miles a year. That's above average, though not insane. And if it was used for long commutes on a freeway, there'd be less strain per mile.

Still, impressive. Those German engineers know their stuff.

I am so bored. Not looking forward to tomorrow, but it's only a half-shift. With any luck, it will be busy enough to not be so damn boring.

You just gotta maintain it. Albert Klein put over two million miles on his Beetle doing that.

You know you're getting old when you find yourself saying to people more and more frequently: "You're probably too young to remember this, but . . ."

Makes me think about "Murder She Wrote". 264 episodes, pretty sure there was at least one murder in each, all decidedly PG.
Murder, She Wrote was in the "cozy mystery" tradition. Jessica Fletcher was America's Miss Marple.
