No need to stop. They just needed to do a better job at selecting the movies and shows that would define what they would be about after Endgame. They made so many bad calls and choices and even a few good things were punished more for timing than quality. Ms Marvel being a prime example of that. Ms Marvel is a niche character that could work in the way Ant Man worked but you got to make at a time when you got lots of other heavy hitters carrying the load.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with the way Ms. Marvel was presented, and there was nothing wrong with the timing.
Also we should already have at least few X-Men movies made.
To much time also trying to prop up the JV squad of characters instead of going with the heavy hitters like the X-Men.
They didn't have the rights to X-Men until after the Fox sale, and I'm glad they took their time to figure out how they want to handle them, rather than just rushing to get them into the MCU just because they're popular.
She-Hulk also should have been a movie and also more of a action movie than a campy Ally McBeal type of show.
I was under the impression that for at least the last 20 or 30 years she's been more of a comedy character, and the show we got is a better fit for than kind of character than forcing her into just another action movie.
Thor should have been given a better 4th movie.
I'm sure they gave Thor the best 4th movie they could. Personally I thought it was great. No body ever sets to make a bad movie or one that people aren't going to like, sometimes things just don't work out the way people think they will.
Black Panther should have been recast.
No, the role was just to attatched to Chadwick Boseman, and not recasting was the right move to make.
They should have done a Thanos and Killmonger villain movie, each.
No. Sony has proven repeated that those kind of villain movies just don't work.
Just out of curiosity, are you a writer or movie/TV producer, because you seem to have a lot of pretty strong opinions about a lot of this kind of stuff and I'm just curious what professional experience you have to back this up.
I've always loved Carol Danvers. Ever since her own Ms Marvel and Binary days in the comics. Her first movie was epic. Her second movie, well, it's not the only product that got negatively affected by the pandemic. Shit happens. I still enjoy the movie. Brie Larson is amazing. The hatred for her just comes from the usual fragile man babies who can't cope with strong women.
Yeah, Carol is one of my favorite characters in the comics and the movies.
I forgot about Jude Law. I guess he would sort of count as the villain. I can't say I found him to be all that interesting.
There's no guess about it Jude Law's Yon-Rog was very much the movies main bad guy.
I wasn't sure I wanted to watch it, but I went ahead anyway. It was mostly worth it for the character interplay, which fortunately got more airtime than zombie fights, at least in the first three episodes. And it seems this is the only place we get to see more adventures of characters like Kamala, Kate, Riri, Shang-Chi, Katy, etc. But I found the action-heavy final episode pretty boring, mostly, and yes, the ending was unsatisfying.
They are still working on a second Shang-Chi movie, so we should be getting another adventure with Shang-Chi and Katy in a few years.
