I'd classify my feelings on it more as "it would be nice and might mitigate my feelings a bit" versus "holding out hope".The DS9 doc had around forty minutes of deleted scenes included, so I hold out hope for the same here.
Sadly not available to non-US audiences, which is annoying. I'd have bought it in a heart beat. Even a digital version. Anything. The DS9 doc had around forty minutes of deleted scenes included, so I hold out hope for the same here.
The DS9 disc? The Backer Version was not region locked. I know that doesn't help at this late stage, but...Sadly not available to non-US audiences, which is annoying. I'd have bought it in a heart beat.
The YT channel Secret Galaxy just put out a 20-minute Voyager short doc:
I like the channel, so I'll give it a watch at some point.
I bought a copy on the Star Trek cruise a few years ago. They are easy to find on eBay and other places.Sadly not available to non-US audiences, which is annoying. I'd have bought it in a heart beat. Even a digital version. Anything.
I'll go for just seeing the Voyager documentary itself first.
They are region coded though. That's what I mean by non-US audiences.I bought a copy on the Star Trek cruise a few years ago. They are easy to find on eBay and other places.
I forgot I was supposed to get a blu ray for this documentary. After seeing it, they can keep the blu ray. I am more interested in what was left on the cutting room floor (Like if they actually talked about more episodes other than the 2 that have been talked about to death for the last 30 years) than seeing this again. The way they handled this thing was a joke, and the final product turned into more of an advertising for the cruise, Garratt Wang's zero G adventures, and a promotion for the show for new viewers. If the Blu Ray isn't going to elevate this documentary in any way, they can keep it.
I just checked and mine still works. The link for my stream copy no longer works.
As far as I know this is the last they've said about the discs and that was in the Vimeo link email in May.With regard to your Blu-ray/DVD combo order, we are in the final stages of securing a distribution partner and fulfilling our physical media licensing contract with Paramount. We appreciate your patience as we work toward this final step.
My link still works. Not that I would be very sad if it didn't. I doubt I'll ever watch this again. At this point I couldn't care less if the Blu-ray ever comes out. I'm so done with this project. The link for my stream copy no longer works.
It’s been a while since our last email update, and we recognize that we haven’t communicated directly with the entire backer community in some time. While we’ve shared updates through webcasts and at conventions, we know how important it is to keep everyone informed—and we’re committed to doing better. -- April 2025.

Don't give them any ideas. I want my disc.If producing physical disks is too much trouble, why not make a video-on-demand available for purchase?
I specifically donated to get the disc at the end of all this, so I'd be rather irritated to get a bait-and-switch situation. If producing physical disks is too much trouble, why not make a video-on-demand available for purchase?
But people did donate this this one, and if they decided not to fulfill their promises, could that be a lawsuit since it's reneging on a written document?Well, I didn't donate. I have a feeling the DS9 doc wasn't profitable for them, and that makes them less than enthused to put much into this one.
A certain set of goods were promised by them, they fundraised on said set of goods. Whether they're "enthused" doesn't matter. They took thousands of dollars from hundreds of donors - many of whom are in this thread - and are obligated to provide what they promised.Well, I didn't donate. I have a feeling the DS9 doc wasn't profitable for them, and that makes them less than enthused to put much into this one.
