What games are you playing currently?

I finished Kirby and the Forgotten Land. No other game has made me smile quite so much, the mix of bright oblivious Kirby and friends on a grim, post-apocalptic Earth was wonderful.

The bit at the very very end when I had to waggle the stick at the same time as mashing buttons was not made for a 41 year old, though:lol:

Quake 2: Call of the Void.

The best thing about the best PC games? They never end. New levels, still being made for something that came out in 1998. And it's excellent!

I spent most of my day playing Impossible Creatures. Delightfully charming retro game with bags of heart. It makes me as feel comfortable today as it has done routinely for 22 years.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is currently on sale on PS5, with the ultimate edition being the best deal. Funnily enough, the gold edition is still at full price.

I have that on PC and it's lovely to look at but doesn't really grab me like I thought it would.

Having way more fun with Star Wars Outlaws and GTA V single player mode

Yeah, I can understand that. I'm not even into their Far Cry games which the Avatar game was mostly criticized for basing it in terms of formula. But I'm willing to give it a try. I'm not normally big on their games until they go on a deep sale, as their games can be pretty dang expensive. Avatar Ultimate Edition is normally $169 CAD over here, down to $42 in this sale. They didn't even bother to discount the Gold Edition which is sitting at $149 CAD currently. And $42 is still a bit of a splurge for me in terms of games.

I'll probably get back to Avatar sometime but yeah it feels like a Far cry now that you mentioned it. I do like SW Outlaws more than I ever thought I would.

I just checked my trophy list... I played Far Cry 6 in November 2022 and then I started playing Avatar in December 2023. So a little over a year, which isn't THAT long I guess.

Either way, I had fun with Avatar. The gameplay is enjoyable and the game looks great.

-Minecraft
-Star Trek Online
-Star Wars the old Republic (new Sith character)
-Oolite (space trading game based off the old game Elite)

-Re-playing the original Mafia
-Still playing Mafia II…

-Just started playing Saboteur

I think my opinions were coloured because I have played a few of the Far Cry games. I've done 3, 4, New Dawn, and FC 6
Yeah I've also played a lot of Far Cry games (3, 4, 5, 6, Primal and Blood Dragon) over the years.

Oh man, I love The Saboteur. Such an underrated game.

^ That game was an underrated gem! I heard the developers had plans for a sequel. I hope we get one at a certain point. Or even a remaster. An open-world GTA-style game set in WWII?? Yes please!! I'm surprised it wasn't more successful than it was given all that. I remember it for being fairly unique, with the game starting out as being in black & white and transitioning to colour once you liberated a sector.

I played it on PC via GOG, and if I remember correctly, the controls were a little messed up and you had to edit a config file to properly set the keybindings.

I'm getting started with Wuthering Waves, the open-world game from Kuro Games. I've been hoping for something along these lines in a futuristic sci-fi setting, so I hope it will be fun. I'm going to avoid the paid gacha stuff though, and just stick with whatever characters and equipment I can get in the game for free.

On my PC, I've been playing something called Tales from the Dancing Moon. It's a cozy life sim/rpg.
