LTK's does feel almost like a whole act of the movie. Starts with Sanchez's plane and doesn't end until he's been captured by the DEA and Bond and Felix have parachuted into the wedding.
The whole movie runs 2:43, so I guess proportionally it's not that bad.Jeez, is it still a pre-credit sequence when it's long enough to be an episode of a TV show, or is that just the first act of the movie?
The other thing with NTTD's pre title sequence is that it's 7 minutes before we even see Bond!
I mean I like NTTD more than many people do, it's my third favourite Craig film, but damn it's bloated as hell and one of many things I hope Villeneuve and Knight do is return to a leaner kind of film, certainly something that's sub 135 minutes.
With NTTD, do you not feel like the PTS should have just been the flashback, with Madeleine surfacing being the transition point out of the credits into the main body?
I like longer films but when credits are withheld so long it's distracting. I'll wager that many of us gave up hope on their even appearing in NTTD and MisImpDedRek1 before they eventually did. Had I been in charge-----don't run, I'm not----early film titles would be mandatory across the board with no exceptions. And the next four Bond girls would be Fairuza Balk, Christina Ricci, Alicia Witt and Helena Bonham Carter....and maybe in the exact same movie. The other thing with NTTD's pre title sequence is that it's 7 minutes before we even see Bond!

If Tim Burton directed a Bond movie. And the next four Bond girls would be Fairuza Balk, Christina Ricci, Alicia Witt and Helena Bonham Carter....and maybe in the exact same movie.
Not to mention The Departed...I like longer films but when credits are withheld so long it's distracting. I'll wager that many of us gave up hope on their even appearing in NTTD and MisImpDedRek1 before they eventually did.
Better he than the man who directed Keaton's BIRDMAN. He'd dictate nonstop drums minus anything else.If Tim Burton directed a Bond movie.
After the last one I'm not really sure it will BE Dune Messiah.Just call it Dune Messiah god damn it!
