Hockey Talk - 2007-2008 Season

Okay, this is probably a dumb question.... but don't you have to win 16 out of *28* games?

He's referring to the Habs winning 16 games for a 25th Cup.
Oh, that makes much more sense.
It will especially make sense when the Cup is hoisted above the Bell Centre ice by Saku Koivu sometime in June (hey--the pucks haven't dropped yet, so confidence can reign supreme for a while longer).

:(:(:(:(

Well that Sharks game sucked. I know it's only game one, but they didn't play well at all. No sense of urgency, and they were definately beat by the better team. If they have a chance if this series they have to come out and hit hit hit. They have to raise thier intensity in the Playoffs and get the crowd into it. That arena was quiet tonight.

If it is any consolation, I thought the Sharks displayed god-like puck control
at times--it is scary, actually, imagining facing that for three periods. I think the Flames wanted game one more.

Sharks are lucky for getting out of that period unscathed. Calgary still looks like the dominant team.

It's funny, all this stuff I heard about Calgary such as inconsistant and lack of depth don't seem to be true in this series. They look like the number 2 seed, not the Sharks.

That is the playoff hockey I wanted to see last night. Fantastic game on both sides. Mikka and Nabby were the stars of the game tonight with the leather. Some of those saves those studs made were unreal. I'm glad the Sharks at least got the split heading to Calgary. Now we have a series and some outstanding playoff hockey. Can't wait till Sunday to see this thing continue.

Man, I wish Simon Gagne wasn't out. With him, I'd like the Flyers chances a lot more.

I think the Flyers have a 50-50 shot of getting past the Caps, but then will tank in the next round.
