I’ve seen this on Youtube. It's interesting, but it comes across as very much test footage. What gets me right off is their hair, styles you simply wouldn’t see in an organization structured along military lines. Throughout the franchise, until more recently, Starfleet personnel tend to have conventional/conservative hair styles with the exception of the women having more leeway.
Apologies if that's been posted here already.
It's clearly test footage with the make up and prosthetics not fully developed. I doubt they'd require the actors to have in character hair cuts for that.I’ve seen this on Youtube. Yup. The point of the tests is for the performance, not for the other trappings. It's clearly test footage with the make up and prosthetics not fully developed. I doubt they'd require the actors to have in character hair cuts for that.
Look at Scotty's sideburns in late season 3, and you can tell the '70s were well on their way in already.I have no doubt had II gone into production that the hairstyles would have been slightly longer than their 60s counterparts and we might have seen some feathering and maybe the occasional Farrah.
Especially with the multiple on-screen supers that have TEST in the description.but it comes across as very much test footage.
