Unless the public and celebrity uproar succeeds and Disney finds a spine again. They already released a statement saying that they're going to talk with Kimmel about finding a "path" to put him back on the air. Sounds like they already realize they made a mistake.
I wouldn't hold my breath. I'll be shocked if Kimmel gets his show back (even if he wants it back at this point). This was all about capitulation to the FCC for profits.

But this isn't the place for that discussion.

I don't think Kimmel would be amenable to any expectations placed on him for continuing his show. Disney is probably saying this so they don't have to fire him and pay out his contract.

Fantastic news! Plus, further confirmation that Elden Henson returns in some capacity.

Not only does he need to return he needs to have a big role in the show along with Karen Page. Lack of interesting supporting cast really hurt the show last season IMO. Also I want to see the return of the Night Nurse. I know Rosario Dawson might be hard to get back but even a single episode would be nice.

More like they want to eat their cake and have it to. I agree he shouldn't have been fired but of course ethics mean nothing to them. Just optics.

The only boycott that worked even a little was the right wings boycott of Budweiser and even then only a little bit. Most of them fail and this will fail because people we have a show or movie they want to watch so they will keep their subscription even if they don't like what went down.

Don't expect to see She-Hulk again. Maslany has burnt her bridges by encouraging people to cancel Disney+ because of Jimmy Kimmel's cancellation.

I knew I liked her for a reason. Good idea. Done.

Release the Epstein files.

I'm very far from being Conservative in any of my viewpoints, but encouraging the boycotting Disney is a clear-cut case of going after the wrong target.
It's really not, they're the ones who gave in and fired Kimmel, so that pretty clearly makes them the ones to boycott if you're going that route. I think I've made it clear how much I hate Trump and everything he's doing, but I honestly can't say if I will boycott them, I have absolutely no self control and don't think I can go cold turkey on all of the stuff Disney makes. But I do fully support the people who are stronger than me and can give up that stuff.

I will be canceling my Disney plus and I will renew it and catch up on everything I missed when Daredevil Born Again season 2 comes around. I'll renew for one month to watch everything I want to watch and cancel again.

I already paid for an annual subscription a few months ago, so I figure at this point I've got it so I might as well keep using it.

Honestly, I just don't really do boycotts. If I boycotted every company that did something I don't like or disagreed with I would never been able to shop anywhere, or watch anything.

I don't really blame Disney for this. They could have tried to take a stand but they'd lose. The idea that they've put Kimmel in Limbo means they are looking for a way out. There statement basically said they've been put in a corner and talked about all the employees and creatives who would lose their jobs otherwise. I'm taking a wait and see approach regarding Disney.

I guess she'd fall under the comment from Feige a few months ago "Some characters you may see again. Some we'll never bring back"

She was never coming back. Feige now at least as a excuse to use when they recast the character like they are going to be doing with several of the characters.
