I understand to a certain degree WHY it's a good idea, because unemployment money is less than sick money. But it still feels like they just decided that it's okay to proceed without my approval for both my job and therapy decisionsUnless government assistance is cut off when you quit. In the US, unemployment rules vary from state to state, but in all states you lose eligibility to collect if you quit, versus being let go by your employer.
Why can't you just quit anyway?I understand to a certain degree WHY it's a good idea, because unemployment money is less than sick money. But it still feels like they just decided that it's okay to proceed without my approval for both my job and therapy decisions
For the last week, the store printer has been flashing "Service Imaging Cartridge", and, occasionally, the printer has stopped printing; so, I've had to open it up and shake the cartridge to get more life out of it.
Paul called Lexmark and put in an order for a replacement cartridge.
Lexmark called back today and said, "We've been monitoring the situation on our end. We are unable to send you a replacement cartridge until the current cartridge reaches 10% of its toner life. Once that happens, then we'll send you a replacement cartridge, which should arrive in 2-3 business days."
Paul said, "But what if the cartridge runs out before the replacement arrives? This is what I'm trying to prevent. I don't want to be stuck without a printer for 2-3 days. How am I going to print work orders or bill people out?"
He finally convinced the person on the other end to send a technician to service the printer. That way, when he arrives, he'll bring out replacement cartridge so we wouldn't have to wait.
Believe me I would nothing more than get fired and say good riddance, but if they're right that I'll get less money being unemployed than being "sick" and absent due a depression it makes a huge difference. School is starting soon, I have to cook again for myself. Because I could eat at therapy, I saved a lot of money. I went for groceries last Saturday, it was almost 70€ for everything. I'm going need that extra money solely for food, it's not fair. Why can't you just quit anyway?
As a fellow person with autism whose also going to need accommodations for going back to school, I can say this: you are not stupid. Take me, I'm going ask for help with math and ICT because haven't had math or worked with an Excel document since high school. I'll need the refresher course, and also probably noice canceling headphones. There will be at least 16 students besides me, I am going to need those headphones.I'm going to have some accomodations this coming school year because i have autism and I'm quite bothered by both of those facts because it's making me feel like I'm stupid or something.![]()
I laugh only because one local store had a Halloween end cap in July.*sigh* I guess it's that time of the year again, I'd hoped it would be in September, but they're really early this year. So without further ado: fuck pre Halloween Christmas decorations
So, I guess I have to take an hour online course on empathy and sensitivity when dealing with customers because I guess I scored low marks on some Google reviews.
Fuck that shit.
That's riduculous. So, I guess I have to take an hour online course on empathy and sensitivity when dealing with customers because I guess I scored low marks on some Google reviews.

For one thing, people can put low scores simply because they had a bad day, not because of anything you or any other person did or said.
People and word of mouth is what keeps a business going.I hate that every Tuesday when there's the district conference call, they're always pushing Google reviews.
"You got to get more Google reviews. Google reviews were down this week. We need more Five Star Google reviews."
I could give a rat's ass about Google reviews.
I don't read them.
In fact, it wasn't Google reviews that have brought some of our most recent customers in.
It was word of mouth that brought them in the door.
One should think that would be illegal.Businesses that keep their "wheelchair-access" doors locked during business hours.
