For the last week, the store printer has been flashing "Service Imaging Cartridge", and, occasionally, the printer has stopped printing; so, I've had to open it up and shake the cartridge to get more life out of it.
Paul called Lexmark and put in an order for a replacement cartridge.
Lexmark called back today and said, "We've been monitoring the situation on our end. We are unable to send you a replacement cartridge until the current cartridge reaches 10% of its toner life. Once that happens, then we'll send you a replacement cartridge, which should arrive in 2-3 business days."
Paul said, "But what if the cartridge runs out before the replacement arrives? This is what I'm trying to prevent. I don't want to be stuck without a printer for 2-3 days. How am I going to print work orders or bill people out?"
He finally convinced the person on the other end to send a technician to service the printer. That way, when he arrives, he'll bring out replacement cartridge so we wouldn't have to wait.
