What are your controversial Star Trek opinions?

I still like the TOS movie ones. The Orville ones are nice as well. Even though it didn't feel right with canon I also like the season 1 and 2 uniforms on Discovery. TNG and TOS uniforms bring so much nostalgia though.

You really want to see heads explode around here?

TNG's production design and lighting were far better, by leaps and bounds, than DS9, Voyager, or the TNG movies.

The lighting seemed pretty similar across the three TV series. The lighting in the movies sucked.

Umm…no. Not even remotely. Unless, of course, you mistakenly typed “best” when you meant to type the unquestionably correct “worst”. Then I wholeheartedly concur.

😉
They kind of remind me of 18th century European military uniforms, the "Lace Wars" era. Designed to look pretty and look great on parade, not to do any practical work. Although they were warm, which was nice in pre-central heating Europe.

I think the DIS season 1 uniforms are a quite suitable evolution from ENT, but they would be much better 50 years before TOS, not just 10 years.
This. Proximity to TOS and overlapping with the era of "The Cage" is what sinks those uniforms. As evolutions of the blue ENT duty jumpsuits they work. With anything else they just plain don't.
