10s of grands? No. She was fired before ger contract was up it was worth millions. Why would she settle for a few thousand? Las year Disney tried to get the case dismissed on the grounds that it had no merit. The judge refused. That was a bad decision for Disney. They definitely paid big bucks to get this trial shut down and it sounds like they might use Carano for another stsr wars ptiduction. Both Carano and Disney praised eachother. This is a definite win for carano.
She got a payout Disney didnt. Disney knew a court case would hurt them. They knew they would lose any court battle after the judges last decision not to dismiss the case. Carano got what is most likely a very nice paycheck and possible future project with Disney. All in all a pretty darn good day for her. Very nice. I hope to see her back im star wars. That would he icing on the cake she just won.

Would take a hell of a large dose of separating art from artist since she is pretty repulsive. Maybe not quite to the extent of someone like mickey from doctor who whose episodes I cant stomach watching but still pretty bad.

Wrong. She was technically not fired - her contract was up and it simply was not renewed. Disney was not in breach of a contract because there was none that could be broken.
She sued for wrongful termination and a couple of other things, this was settled so neither side actually won or lost as there was no verdict by a judge or a jury. Disney ended it by paying a sum of money and i seriously doubt it went much above very low six figures if that.
She was a mid tier character. Not great, not terrible. Perfectly cromulent. Her personal views that got her sacked were pretty damn bad, the ignorant train sailed when she doubled down on them. Anyone that thinks being right wing is comparible to a jewish person during the holocaust has some issues. I can't fathom how anyone can equate such things with sincerity. Regardless of a person's political leanings there are objective right and wrongs.
It's the usual right wing victim mentality. Bash the other side all day long, make insane claims but when consequences arrive suddenly they're victims, oppressed and on the same level as Jews during the Holocaust.
If and I say if because I dont know for sure either way she was receieving hateful messages for not putting pronouns on her twitter handle as she claimed then I would side with her on that because that's just bullying and bullying is never okay.
Don't know about that but i do know she posted asinine stuff on social media. Disney asked her in meetings to tone it down because she was working for them at the time and she didn't, she even increased the heat culminating in comparing herself to Jews during a Holocaust and that's when Disney pulled the plug and decided not to renew her contract.
They could have gone much harder, i.e. Disney is notorious for protecting its family friendly image ( while being hardcore business bastards behind the scenes) and have been known not to be too subtle when someone who is working for them and is a public enough figure to actually fire them if some black spots appear in their past. Look how they dealt with James Gunn for something he said a decade ago. Only when the entire cast of Guardians rose up and made a public stink and they realized Gunn was making them top money with the movies did they relent and had him finish his trilogy ( which was one of the very few big hits post Endgame) and now he works for the competition and by all accounts is doing an extremely good job.

No way. Carano is worth more than that. She wouldn't go through this for two years for a measly hundred grand. Im guessing she got a couple mil to 5.

You can spin it all the way - losing or winning a lawsuit means a judge and/or a jury has passed a verdict. That didn't happen. If you define winning a lawsuit by extracting money from the other side to settle then that's your definition but from the legal side it's not winning a lawsuit. It was just taken out of the court/legal system by both parties agreeing to end it in exchange for money ( kind of what your hero Trump has done constantly to make the lawsuits go away, i guess he lost them all according to your definition

I doubt she will come back. She will have settle for lots of money in a settlement and hope she can land on a tv show that targets just a conservative audience.
When going against the Evil Empire that is Disney I think a settlement counts as a victory. Kind of a hollow one I suppose because her career is still pretty much over.
So democrats won't watch star wars if she's on it? I think thats silly and probably not true. A star wars fan is a star wars fan.

First I have never ever said Trump was my hero on these boards. Ever. I only talk about Star trek, Star wars, Tron and other sci fi on these boards. So im not sure why you're talking about trump and saying that of me.
Second maybe you are spinning it. Caranos lawyers were going to use the whoppi Goldberg incident and others to show how Carano was treated differently. Whoppi got a two week suspension but carano got fired. So after the judge wouldn't dismiss the case after Disney asked Gina had tge more powerful hand. Youre acting like Disney was the one with the upper hand. They were the ones being sued. Seeing disneys statement it was an apology to Carano. Not the statement of a company that beat her in court .
Hopefully we get good star wars with carano out of this.

But tell me why would Disney ever hire a C List trouble maker, who sued them, ever again for any project? She had her chance, she was poised to get her own show and she blew it by her behaviour. Who's right or wrong doesn't matter anymore as Disney has no reason to hire her for any project since she's not a box office/streaming draw for anyone ( if she ever was one to begin with).
Just read the statements and how vague and political they sound. There is no definite "Let's go, Project X is waiting!", there's a whole bunch of let's see what happens and that is code for Hell No, never again!
If by some miracle she manages to become an A Lister outside of Disney and pulls in audiences with her name alone Disney might reconsider, they are all about the money but right now they have no incentive to ever hire her again. She has not been missed in the last Mando season nor was there any role she might have worked in another show. She's done, plain and simple.
According to IMDB her last acting gig was from 2022, both projects are ranked very low which is usual for C Listers and even before it's 1-2 jobs per year in mostly mediocre projects ( with the exception of some lucky casting in Deadpool and one of the Fast & Furious movies). So i don't know why you expect Disney or anyone else to put her in any kind of high profile gig just because you like her?
She's more likely to be parodied on South Park than ever return to Disney.
Disney settled because it wasn't worth the legal fees to go to court.
They would watch. Star Wars fans will watch anything,Star Wars just about, especially if it is a good track record like The Mandalorian. But she did to sue them and she never shut up when they wanted her to. They have no reason to bring her back.
Lucasfilm said they are willing to work with her. I would love to see her back in star wars. Her character was great
