......I don't think that's right.

I just did a quick image search for everything i couldo find on the Archer, just to refresh my memory, and in every image and screenshot, the saucer appears round.

I'm completely prepared to be wrong as I assume they have the CGI files on the thing.

to be fair, every shot of it we have in the show is from an angle where you can't make out the entire shape.

Look at these other shots of the model, it's hard to tell it's elliptical from these angles. Perspective can change things.

Does kinda-sorta make sense in an in-universe way though.
A single nacelle may work best with that shape of a hull, perhaps streamlining improves the warp bubble.
Especially on a smaller starship.

I think with Archer, we all just assumed it was circular and our brains convinced us that was the case, undoubtedly helped by nebulous camera angles.

While I don't like the design itself, the model is great!
