The simplest way I've been able to explain how much I enjoyed Gunn's Superman is "it made me believe a man could fly again."
Is that what you voted? The simplest way I've been able to explain how much I enjoyed Gunn's Superman is "it made me believe a man could fly again."

I have been listening a lot to Williams' score lately. Truly his best work.
And can we pin to the top of everywhere discussing prior Superman movies that it's spelled like that? Christopher REEVE.
Nice. Glad they kept out Cavill in the Black suit. That isn't Superman.
Honestly, I dont blame Cavill. I'm sure he would have been a better Superman if given the right direction. But his director was more into dark film noir than comics. That's fine for 300, Watchmen or Batman, but completely wrong for Superman.I wouldn't call Cavill's version boring, but Snyder did make him look too dark and depressed at times. Still, I enjoyed him in the role, but Corenswet is monumentally better.
Y’know, I didn’t have a big problem with it in the immediate aftermath of his death and return. That passed as a legitimate comics homage. The Snyderesque grimdark excess was keeping him in it past that point, for the final shirt-rip in Metropolis, suggesting it could be his new normal going forward.Nice. There is no doubt in my mind the black suit would have been the new norm had that Universe continued.Y’know, I didn’t have a big problem with it in the immediate aftermath of his death and return. I gather the Snyder groupies love it. Superman permanently dressed like an undertaker is wet-dream time. There is no doubt in my mind the black suit would have been the new norm had that Universe continued.
Agreed. That shouldnt have happened until like Phase 2 or 3. Plus its just not believable that a guy who was the cause of so much destruction would all of a sudden be idolized by the population upon death. But the studio wanted a fast track to Justice League so....The death wasn't earned, we barely got to know him as a character before they kill him. It's like killing off Tony Stark in Iron Man 2 just to bring him back for the Avengers.
