What are your controversial Star Trek opinions?

what would have happened to that lady if she had been allergic to bones' kidney replacement pills?

controversial opinion: screaming "it's fiction" in a forum based around people enjoying and discussing (but not necessarily enjoying discussing, depending :P) that fiction is pretty lame.
Bones probably would have been sued by a plethora of lawyers who wanted to glom on to that case. Fortunately he escaped to the future instead.

As to your second point, yeah, we all know that. I think? It's hard to tell sometimes. There ARE people around here who think it's some sort of weird religion. So pardon me if I misjudged you.

Me either. Glasses may be inconvenient, but they work.
For my mom, the surgery worked but it was less convenient than wearing glasses.

Before lasik: Needed glasses all the time. Put them on when she got out of bed in the morning and kept them on until getting into bed in the evening.

After lasik: Didn't need glasses for middle distance, but needed glasses for close-up work and another pair for long distances like driving. Taking off and putting on the appropriate glasses at different times of day, needing to keep track of them, needing two different prescriptions. Generally regretted the surgery.

0:38. I may have seen the episode two or three times, four at most if not three, but I never registered the Space: 1999 Eagle before. /spitTake :guffaw: :guffaw: :guffaw: :guffaw: :guffaw:

That in the future women will go back to wearing really short dresses for work even on starships
We had a very beautiful young Latina woman (she looked like Eva Longoria!) at work many years ago who always dressed as if she were going out to a party after work - halter tops and mini skirts. She worked in the electronics lab, so she had a lab coat and dust cap on all day, but break times and lunch times were glorious. Well, that lasted a couple of months before HR called her in and asked her to dress more conservatively so the male employees would stop walking into walls.

Constant wall repair can be prohibitive
