Spoilers Mrs. Flood Theories

At the very least there is an opportunity here to show us what happens to the younger counterpart of a bigeneration when they eventually die, without having to demise Tennant or even bring him back.

Maybe one of them will knock boots with Ncuti now there’s a pair of time Lord and time lady. That way we’re half way to Susan in the wrong order. I’ve seen MineCraft, we just give them both some jelly babies and…

I mean, that might kick off a regeneration.
In the audience at least.

That's one big benefit.

Can they also regenerate? Are they just an echo, or some kind of cut and paste job but in a different font?

Regeneration was so simple.

My own interpretation is that the new Doctor is kinda borrowed from the future and can only happen when the previous Doctor is predetermined to reintegrate during a future regeneration somehow. Kinda like the Watcher...
But maybe we find out soon.

I don't normally watch Unleashed as I can't stand the kid's TV presenter but Russell has some interesting comments about Mrs Flood and The Rani in it.

Can you paraphrase?
My allergy is strong enough that I haven’t watched it since Rose.

Given it didn't exist back then (it was Confidential, and the format was very different), that's some going.

Confidential was worth watching for the excellent incorporation of music - at the time it was a way of me discovering modern tracks I actually like since I don't listen to the radio. "Run" by Snow Patrol was superbly chosen by the Confidential team for a montage of the Ninth Doctor to accompany his regeneration ep.

XD yes, it had a different name. I also survived one episode of Totally Doctor Who, but that was an accident and I had just left the telly on.

I’m just old school — I like my behind the scenes info in a book or magazine, and possibly twenty or thirty years after the fact, ideally written by Andrew Pixley for preference.

The music did my head in if I am honest. Years of retail work you see. Not everything needs a soundtrack…

I do miss having DisContinuity Guide reviews for the new stuff. Too much of a backlog I presume since they also did Big Finish stuff.

Plus the occasional look at Keith Telly Topping's blog to see his views. Sadly, doesn't seem to have updated since The Well.

Once I saw the regeneration special effect, I knew who it was, so that was a little underwhelming. I didn't much care for the character in Classic Doctor Who.

I'm surprised it took so long for Doctor Who to bring the Rani back, but the bigeneration thing... meh, I prefer the clean break of the traditional regeneration. Still, I guess we'll see how the Doctor handles this. Perhaps Tennant's 14th Doctor will come to Ncuti's aid against a pair of Ranis?

Last lines: So it’s goodnight from me, and it’s goodnight from her.
