Russell T. Davies Returns to Doctor Who as New Showrunner

Pretty much covered how much I don’t and didn’t pay much attention to scumbag Savile, so no, shockingly I don’t know about his stamp collection either. Never liked the bloke, even when he was the darling of BBC TV, and all things considered, I’m pretty glad Jim never fixed it for me.

As to Whitehouse, she was a general moral campaigner on the state of TV — basically the same thing we have these days, just from a different set of ethical or moral beliefs. And like hers, people may or may not agree with them.

So is 'Space Babies' going to turn out to be the most important episode of this two season story arc? That would be hilarious.

I already knew they had been seen on location for the finale but wasn't expecting this week's appearance.

Unless it’s retconning them in as the Fugitive Doctor, I hope not. Some Who I miss and plan to get around to one day. Other times,I miss it, and am glad to have dodged the bullet. Space Babies is in the latter category.

The official description for the finale reads.

“The Doctor is doomed, Belinda is lost, Ruby is trapped, UNIT is powerless, the Unholy Trinity rule supreme and the Underverse is rising."

The Underverse was another thing that was mentioned in the big leak from months ago which has turned out to be correct. So I fear it's unlikely that the remaining claims will turn out to be false.

Honestly, after looking over the leaks that I was aware of, most are related to the finale anyway so we won't know if they're true or not for another few weeks. The only non-finale spoilers that were in the leak I knew of have been proven true (Doctor lite episode focusing on Ruby and UNIT, Eurovision in space) but that's not really enough to convince me the stuff leaked about the finale is true.

There’s older leaks - Ruby having a boyfriends that’s more interested in the Doctor, for example. Turned out to be true, just not in the way people thought. Basically, there’s a massive hit ratio for the leaks, and if you really don’t want spoilers it’s still best to avoid.

The main leak contained:

Pretty much the entire plot of The Robot Revolution.
Doctor Who fans appearing in Lux.
The Well being a sequel to Midnight.
Most of the plot of Lucky Day.
Jo Martin appearing in last week's episode.
The return of the Space Babies.

Which leaves us with

Mrs Flood being a bi-regenerated Rani. The other one being played by Archie Panjabi.
The return of Susan.
The return of Omega.
A very brief return by Jodie Whitaker.

This hit rate has been better than the old GB poster 'doctorwho'. He was everywhere at one point. I still wish that old rumour about Charles Dance ended up being true, he'd have been fantastic in the show.

Not worth a thread of its own but there's another bunch of novelisations coming next January, all untitled currently but one of them is by Matt Jones, so we can probably guess what that is.

(In) Famously the TV versions were a 100% rewtrite, so I wonder if this will actually be using the original scripts?
