We're not a bit away at all. The founding of the Alliance should be happening next week. I don't think most of your questions will be answered due to only 3 episodes happening per in-universe year, and the time jumps made to accomodate that. I expect novels and tie-ins will answer most of your questions...Since we're well into overlapping with "Rebels," I'm curious about the organizational aspects of the Rebellion. I know we're still a bit away from them consolidating as the Alliance to Restore the Republic, but with the way Luthen is acting like the weight of the galaxy is on his shoulders alone, I'm curious about if it's not just the cells that are divided, but the networks between them are also relatively independent and he really doesn't know how big things have already gotten. Like, is there any crossover between the Mothma/Luthen/Andor/Partisan network and the Organa/Fulcrum/Lothal/Phoenix network? Are the Fulcum agents specifically an Organa-network thing (I remember background material for R1 said Andor had been a Fulcrum at some point, I'm curious if we'll see that, or get a thin retcon about it the way we did with his old homeworld).
Moreover, if they are part of the same relatively small "family" in the small-r rebellion, is that part of why Guerra and Mothma resented each other so much in "Rebels;" no matter how much they disagreed on goals and methods, her money-laundering and family fortune had bought him those X-Wings, and they both knew it?
(Also, fulcrum? Axis? Interesting mechanical metaphors in the Rebellion and Empire. Just something that occurred to me during my rewatch of season 1.)
The things that most stood out for me and still waiting for. If Rebels and Andor both start 5 BBY, and this part of Andor Season 2 is now 3 BBY, Saw can’t be an invalid yet because he wasn’t an invalid when he rescued Ezra and Sabine from the satellite he blew up.Since we're well into overlapping with "Rebels," I'm curious about the organizational aspects of the Rebellion. They already have a character created for Rebels in the show, Mon's aide.Andor isn’t aligning everything with Rebels.
Some people are weird.I feel like I'm not fully buying into the Doctor Gorst concept. Wouldn't the outcome differ depending on the subject? Wouldn't there be some people who would be like "cool sounds man, that was wild, you got any more of that?"
Framing device. And I'm still wondering why a series titled "ANDOR" seemed to be about the Rebel Alliance in general.
Framing device.
And as I responded the last time you brought up this "complaint". Many shows focus on characters outside the one who's name is in the title.Again . . . I haven't seen it. My sister just finished Episode 2. And she's still not impressed. And I'm still wondering why a series titled "ANDOR" seemed to be about the Rebel Alliance in general.
The point of a title is to draw people in, and it doesn't mean it's only about that person. That's an absurd idea. It's like getting mad at NCIS for having other agencies involved in it, or Law and Order featuring crime and chaos.A framing device is a narrative technique, not a title. Nothing has changed. Nothing.
