I'll say it: Benjamin Bratt Bail Organa didn't bother me. Yeah, it clearly isn't Jimmy Smits, but there were enough similarities that it works for me.
What surprised me was people saying they didn't like Smitts' portrayal and he's one of my favorite actors and a great addition as Bail.
Smits never bothers me. I never understand the hate some people have for him.
Bail Antilles in deleted footage from TPM was the closest before last night that a Senator named Bail from Alderaan didn't look or sound like Jimmy Smits.
He was originally supposed to be Organa.
Not hate, per se, just bored. But I also know I'm in the minority. I've grown to accept him as Bail over the years, especially with better material to work with (again, much like I've grown to accept him as Matt Santos despite him).
I saw it mentioned on reddit that the Dawn of the Rebellion Visual Guide from 2023 mentions the Oathkeeper in relation to the Speaker's podium in the senate building.
I'm assuming that's who that alien in the speaker's podium in Andor was, he did seem to be taking an oath from the senators.

This arc was definitely a big of a slower burn than last week's, but it was still great. I loved all the plotting and counter plotting as Luthen and the ISB were both setting up their plans for Ghorman. I knew there was no way the operation at the end was going to g well, but that was not the kind of disaster I was expecting.
It was nice to see Vel and Cinta again, but I wasn't giving any thought to who would or wouldn't survive, so Cinta's death was a surprise. The way she died made it even worse. I like how Vel handled the kid who shot her, I expected her to lose it and attack him or something, but her speech was way more effective than that would have been.
Syril is a surprisingly good spy. I knew there was no way his relationship with Dedra was a normal healthy one, and we got a bit of an idea of just how screwed up it is this week.
I do agree that Luthen seems to losing control of things a bit, there were a few times there that it almost felt like Kleya was the one in charge, not him. I've noticed she's definitely taking on bigger role this season. The stuff with them at the party was great. I had forgotten about the Bail recasting, so that was a shock. Do we now if this is a permanent change, or will they go back to Smitts if he's free next time they want have Bail in something? I'm a big fan of Smitts as Bail, so this is going some time for me to adjust.
You can definitely feel that we're getting very close to Mon just giving up on the Senate. I'm curious how much of a recreation we're going to get of what we saw in Rebels. Could we possibly get cameos from the Rebels era Ghost crew?
Poor Bix, I can understand why they have her turning to drugs, but was sad to see her going that way. Her way of dealing with her issues at the end might not have been the most healthy, but it could definitely help. I'm curious if Luthen was part of it, or if her and Cassian did it entireon their own.
I love how much we're getting to see the kind of daily life we've never really seen in Star Wars before, like going to store to buy groceries.
Having Wilmon join Saw and the Partisans is a nice way to organically give them a bigger role in the series without it feeling too disconnected from everything else.
I'm not familiar with the exact timeline of events, so I had assumed we'd be getting The Ghorman Massacre and Mon's speech at the end of What a Festive Evening, and was shocked we didn't. I guess we'll be getting them next week, because I can't imagine all of that going on for too much longer before the shit really hits the fan.

Oh I misread the Wookieepedia page.
When that scene was filmed he was still known in production material as Bail Organa. He became Antilles later on in production

I don't think many have mentioned that Bail's Senatorial status is wonky in this timeframe with Leia canonically taking his place as Senator around this time. I assume Leia's not going to actually appear in Andor and it's possible that the isolated timeframes of each in-universe year allows Andor to dodge the topic of an inexperienced teen being a galactic senator (for example it's not even mentioned in regards to Mon Mothma's background despite a similar backstory), but that sort of SW wackiness where teens are planetary rulers and senators clashes with Andor's more grounded tone and I'm wondering if it will be mentioned or ignored.
Teens have been rulers before in earth history.
Its just today our cultures now frown on such things.
Alderaan clearly like Naboo has a screwed up culture.
I’ve always taken Leia’s being a galactic senator at such a young age as similar to Britain’s House of Lords in that it’s a hereditary seat. Her parents’ no longer wish the responsibility of the seat, so they’ve told their child it’s her turn to take over.
Naboo “electing” a 14 year old queen was just ludicrous.
I’ve guess that was meant to imply that it’s a traditional Alderannian hair style
