Really enjoyable opening. The middle episode I wondered what the point was, yes, Yarvin IV. And? Way too many cuts between each story, especially episode 3 went back and forth too much. I was wondering who directed these, Chris Nolan?
They'd have worked better as episodes on their own. Wonder if that was the original case.

Pretty sure Cassian's final moments were focused on Jyn and their shared sense of accomplishment.

Palpatine's Empire is a brutal dictatorship where prison slave labor is used to create components for the Empire and inmates are electrocuted (sometimes to death) if they fall short and underperform. The Imperial military abusing women for sexual gratification is on-brand for a dictatorship that grants its military apparatus so much power and freedom of behavior.

Not even just fascist regimes.

Look at the UK with all the police abuse scandals. British police it seems have a big problem with its officers abusing their power in similar ways.

Jobs in which a person is granted such power tend to attract such "men".

The feed back from women I have spoken to in regards to season 2 has been positive. Lots have said how they have found themselves in similar situations and they think it was very well portrayed and highlighted a very real problem of sexual abuse and power. In fact it is dam scary how many have similar stories. Even my mum was talking about how the imp officer reminded her of an old boss. One friend told me how he reminded her of a an old pervy teacher.....that's some scary shit.

No, they wouldn't and no, they were not. The show has never been structured that way, it always intercuts across the various subplots.

Andor is clearly marketed toward adults and given a higher age rating.

There is plenty of light fluffy star wars stuff for kids to watch instead.


Part of Andor is to show life under a oppressive and fascist regime. Rape and sexual exploitation is and always has been an element to such evil regimes

Also with the rise in people like Andrew Tate and the rise in violence against women. Maybe we should portray such acts more and stop brushing them under the carpet. If it makes people uncomfortable then good, it should. Such horrific things happen and soceity should stop hiding from it and potray it as the evil that it is.

I did find the scene a little jarring, and gave me a wtf moment. But as I have thought about it, violence in Star Wars has had a free pass as there's an entertainment element to it. Light sabre fights, laser guns, pew pew...
Many loved rouge one when Darth Vader is cutting down rebels.

So kudos to them for pushing the envelope on this issue. May make fans feel uncomfortable but that may be a good thing.

I was actually thinking the scene would be way more disturbing when I heard about it a few weeks ago. It was actually rather tame, which is good for Star Wars.

Well think it’s a miss managed brand rather than a dead one.

The fine line of Member Berries and straying off the path and trying new things isn’t easy for a fanbase as dedicated as Star Wars fans.

Sequel trilogy started off strong despite being a bit of rehash. but by the time of the second film and with no clear plan of what their doing and fundamentally not understanding Luke’s character and underdeveloped new characters it ending up disappointing.

Rouge one was pretty fan pleasing.

Solo, was not brilliant but I liked it

Mandalorian obviously a big success despite the last season being not as good

Ashoka and skeleton crew was ok for me.

The acolyte was a real stumble. I wanted to like it but it failed on every level to me.

But back to Andor. Show looks great. I don’t have many issues with it. I do find myself bored a lot of the time as it can drag. Kinda respect that it’s a show with out any Jedi, lightsabers, the force and any skywallkers.
