Spoilers The Controversial Star Wars Opinion Thread

Alderaan had it coming.

Here we go for the controversial opinion thread: The Jedi are the Real Antagonists.

While I don't agree with the whole antagonist, as they don't serve that purpose in the story, the Jedi have some flaws that have only gotten worse with the PT. It's not a great take to say "Jedi = teh sux." Because that's too simplistic of a viewpoint.

Most of that comes down to that they take their recruits as young children and brainwash them/cut them off from their families and I agree that is a pretty major and bad flaw but I think a lot of people, though not majority, feel that way, to the extent they think of it.

It's probably a third who really don't like it, a third who don't think about it and a third who admit it's questionable but think it's still needed and more beneficial.

Speaking of the Clone Army, you would think the Jedi as diplomats and/or Padme and people like her would be more successful at bridging the divides with the Separatists before war, that it wouldn't be that hard to get them to agree to continue in the Republic, although Palpatine and Dooku don't actually want there to be reconciliations and compromises.

Don't lynch me.

I just do not get the love for Andor, I do not get it. I don't find its attempts at intrigue at all compelling, the show is so boring with a completely wooden lead. I found the character a complete charisma vaccuum in Rogue One and just as bad here.

I also can't stand Skeleton Crew either, it's as terrible as Stranger Things (another contraversial opinion but one for elsewhere).

I liked Skeleton Crew a bit better the second time around as I knew what was coming ( I guess I could say that about a lot of things ). I didn't hate it the first time through but my interest waxed and waned as it went along.
Jod was obviously a scumbag from early on but I think I was in denial about that originally.

I think Andor is ok, but it is stymied by the lack of charisma from the lead. It is buoyed up by Luthen and Mon and the intriguing world they are trying to balance in fighting the Empire.

I get it. People like the drama but unfortunately it needs a little more hook for the lead.

Andor is a flop like the rest of the Star Wars TV shows aside from Mandalorian S1-S2.
Just a decade ago fans were ecstatic about Star Wars coming back to the screen, nowadays besides the OT/PT everybody avoids it.
RotS re-release has the box office buzzing, but only talk about Andor is the SA scene.
They didn't even bother to set a 10 year anniversary for TFA.

We all know how it ends - they get blown up in a test fire by the newly built Death Star 1.
Nobody wants to see absolute losers on screen.
Prequel of a prequel of a prequel.

No no. People like StarTrek1701 do not have opinions. They only have facts and we should all say yes you are right and not have thoughts and feelings of our own on such matters.

This is clear because these people never use the words 'I think' or 'in my opinion'. This automatically means they are by definition always correct.

Also this forum needs a sarcasm sign emoji because otherwise some people might take me to serious.

The shows are actually pulling in decent numbers, it's just that they're setting things up to need such massive numbers that it's hard to actually match them. If you look when people post the top streaming series when a one of the Star Wars series is coming out they're usually on there.
And I think the main reason they aren't doing a rerelease for The Force Awakens is because they're already going a 20th anniversary rerelease for The Revenge of the Sith. But they're not totally ignoring it, there's at least one comic miniseries coming out for it.

Andor is so dreadfully dull and boring. I have tried several times to watch it. Fallen asleep several times. Mind you, i felt the same during Ahsoka and Book of Boba Fett.

I don't mind slow pacing, i love old movies, and hell the first few seasons of DS9 before the Dominion show up are slow paced , but Andor is sooooooo sloooooooow
