Spoilers Andor - Season 2

It's kind of weird seeing Kyle Soller and Denise Gough smiling and laughing, and joking around at Celebration. I've gotten used to seeing them in Andor and it's always a little for me when I see actors out of character when their personalities are so different from their characters.

I really wish Disney+ released their stuff earlier in the day, new episodes come out at 6 here, but there's other stuff I like to watch at 7 & 8. I was gonna skip St. Denis Medical and Night Court at 7 for Andor, but The Rookie is one my absolute favorite show so I won't skip that. Whatever I don't finish before The Rookie starts, I'll watch in the morning.

I agree. C’mon Disney, some of us have to work in the morning, and those three hours aren’t gonna watch themselves.

Yeah, it's rough when I can't watch it first thing in the morning, because then I spend the whole day paranoid I'm gonna stumble across spoilers until I get a chance to watch it.

I got about 2.5 episodes in and it's off to a great start so far.
It was nice to actually get a little bit of humor with the stuff Cassian, the Tie, and the Yavin rebels. The reveal that Cassian was on Yavin was a nice little surprise, that didn't even occur to me as a possibility.
I wasn't very clear on exactly what Tay was doing with Mon, was blackmailing her over her involvement with the Rebellion? It took me a minute to recognize Vel with the red hair.
I was kind of getting a feeling that Luthen is getting ready to kill Tay.
I'm curious how bad things are going to get Mina-Rau, because I do not see the Imperial inspection going smoothly.
It was a little scary how casually the imperials were discussing destroying a whole planet and possibly wiping out it's population. I've seen references to the Ghorman Massacre, so obviously things do not go smoothly there.
I was a little surprised to see Dedrea and Syril are a couple now, I did not expect. I stopped just as his mother showed up at their apartment, so I'm very curious to get back to it tomorrow to see how goes.

A doomed arranged wedding, a routine audit that ruins a brief but desperate paradise, a prototype TIE fighter theft that goes hilariously awry every step of the way...and perhaps the most hysterically awkward but deeply rewarding dinner with mom meeting the missus.

No joke, I would watch a regular 30-minute sitcom about the crazy domestic life of Syril and Dedra with Eedy crashing the place every week. I love how this deeply serious, much-needed drama critiquing the madness of today's society is willing to step aside for a few scenes to give us such comedy gold. I never thought a Star Wars sitcom could work until tonight. I need more of it. Need.

But all joking aside, this is a fantastic slow-burn of an opener for the season. As expected, we get a time jump and numerous check-ins on where everyone is now in the galaxy, all setting up for the greater story. I'm not surprised by the various conflicts that have arisen between certain people, most notably at Mothma estate wedding.

That said, I was disappointed how quickly Tay Kolma's creditability and dependability went completely down the drain, if only because I'm such a big fan of Ben Miles. A shame the character has to die...and of course it's at the hands of Cinta, much to Vel's chagrin, who was already clearly miserable at that wedding. Get her back in the field already, Luthen!

I wonder, with Brasso's death at the conclusion of this trilogy, if we'll see Wilmon and Bix die in each of the following trilogies, as more of Andor's old life is chipped away and becomes the hardened man we meet in Rogue One.

Lastly, the bastards left poor B2EMO behind! :wah:

Man, what is that Tie made of? It’s very durable

That imperial troop transport is quiet clearly based off a Nazi Half-Track, and the smaller one has staff car vibes, though the shape of it isn’t as copied as the transport

Looks like they’re releasing BTS videos for each arc

Fantastic! I love videos such as this and I only wish it was longer.

I'm thrilled to see that we're going to see a lot more of Yavin IV and how it develops from the disorganized backwater to one of the primary Rebellion bases.

I loved seeing the incredible amount of work and details for the wedding and the Mothma estate, pulling from Scottish, Scandinavian, and Japanese cultures to create this beautiful and unique setting. I would love to live in a place like that.
