Season 3 First Look

Uh, yeah, I know it’s an alternate timeline. But the idea for the Spock/Uhura relationship didn’t just come out of nowhere. It was based on a scene in an episode of TOS where Uhura was singing and what looked to be light flirting with Spock. That was taken out of context to form the basis of what we see in the Abrams films. Nowhere else in TOS is it seen or even implied that Uhura and Spock had any romantic interest in each other.
Are you talking about the cut scene from Elaan of Troyus? Spock is playing the harp thing and Uhura wants to learn to play it. I think some double entendres happened.

In "Charlie X", she sings romantically about Spock, then teases Charlie. In "The Man Trap", she has this exchange with Spock:

SPOCK: Miss Uhura, your last sub-space log contained an error in the frequencies column.
UHURA: Mister Spock, sometimes I think if I hear that word frequency once more, I'll cry.
SPOCK: Cry?
UHURA: I was just trying to start a conversation.
SPOCK: Well, since it is illogical for a communications officer to resent the word frequency, I have no answer.
UHURA: No, you have an answer. I'm an illogical woman who's beginning to feel too much a part of that communications console. Why don't you tell me I'm an attractive young lady, or ask me if I've ever been in love? Tell me how your planet Vulcan looks on a lazy evening when the moon is full.
SPOCK: Vulcan has no moon, Miss Uhura.
UHURA: I'm not surprised, Mister Spock.

That last line seems to be suggesting a correlation between Vulcan having no moon and Spock's not seeming to have a romantic bone in his body. Of course they don't have a moon, so nobody kisses and lingers beneath its romantic light.

Christine and Spock married shortly after TMP and stayed married until Christine passed sometime in the 24th Century,
Nah, if Picard were at the wedding it would probably have to be more of a deathbed thing. However, I do believe that they were together all that time and only just made it official at the end.

It's important to note we only know Picard attended the wedding of Sarek's son. Spock was never specified, and Sarek could easily have dozens of children we know nothing about.

Sarek had several kids:

Or maybe the cognitive effects did happen on the original visit to Rigel VII, but everyone forgot about it. :shifty:

Kor
Well, Pike did beat himself up later over having been so dumb on the planet as to get his people killed or wounded.

"Lotus Eaters" was the low point of the season for me, but TBH that places it on the same level as most of TOS after "Amok Time."

It'll be Spock and Chapel, SNW's Series Finale will do a Discovery-style timejump and show aged up Ethan and Jess finally getting married with a CGI-deaged Patrick Stewart in attendance.
