I thought that's been the case for awhile.So...no more access via CTV Sci-Fi?
I notice the press release on StarTrek.com references "Paramount+ in Canada".
Dammit.

No more than Ziyal three times in DS9, and Saavik between movie 2 and 3Then man…some bad shit happens to Bob April between SNW and TAS![]()
Fine? We're not taking things out on individual Americans who happen to be up here. So long as no one walks around in a MAGA hat, everything will be fine.I wonder how things are going with the Season 4 filming up there.
Canadians are pretty fed-up with the USA at the moment.
Nope. They need to rename this show Strange New Gimmicks…because that’s largely what I’m seeing from that trailer. Fed up of the overdone comedy stylings and teen level romance.
I'm sure they're burning their Trek uniforms as we speak.I wonder how things are going with the Season 4 filming up there.

Oh, so you're saying it is Star Trek, then.TAS gets blatantly contradicted by some of the live action shows including Strange New Worlds.
Look I am just gonna wait and see.......I was not happy when I heard about the musical episode.....but it wound up being one of the best episodes, so I can judge it when it airs. Not much difference really than the Robin Hood or Dixon Hill episodes. They need to rename this show Strange New Gimmicks…because that’s largely what I’m seeing from that trailer. Fed up of the overdone comedy stylings and teen level romance.
Same basic comments as elsewhere so I'll just repost my answers from thereIf the parody stuff is actually Captain Proton, it could be great. But it should be grayscale then
It seems we'll get these silly episodes:
- Humans turned into Vulcans, moaning and crawling on the floor, getting Kolinahr with DNA
- Flash Gordon parody story
- 20th century murder mystery, perhaps a Dixon Hill holonovel (with 2360s hologrid?)
- Antique telephone story, maybe like in Data's nightmare?![]()
Looks more 50s/60s than 30s/40s like Captain Proton. Especially the dayglow colors.
Might be a locked room mystery. More Christie than Chandler.
Is there a reason the grid needs an explanation? Why can't the tech just look the same?
Why? Might tie into the holodeck problem.
Funny, the longer this goes, the more blatantly sure it becomes that this is absolutely the prime/TOS timeline. It feels like TOS. It feels Fun! It can be light hearted one episode, and deeply serious and thought provoking the next. It makes me feel..... young.the longer this goes, the more blatantly sure it becomes that this is no longer the Prime/TOS timeline.
Martin Quinn IS great. And Wow, that is a TERRIBLE looking Scotty.

Honestly, that’s the beauty of the Star Trek format - the endless adaptability to whatever genre you wanna throw at it. The show can be whatever you want it to be from week to week, and it works! It feels like TOS. It feels Fun! It can be light hearted one episode, and deeply serious and thought provoking the next. I makes me feel..... young.
By whose standard, because other than the look being updated for the modern era, the stories feel very much like TOS and the character arcs are being wonderfully fleshed out by my standard.the longer this goes, the more blatantly sure it becomes that this is no longer the Prime/TOS timeline.
And Wow, that is a TERRIBLE looking Scotty.
