The story almost writes itself, especially as a neat action piece involving rogue Starfleet captains, as another ship is dragged in by Caretaker and, by all miracles, they happen to take nigh on the identical route (but got to where they were faster thanks to squeezing some space dolphins for isograms of antimatter or shoving their carcasses into the chamber or whatever.) Space is a big place and even a hundredth of a degree is going to be substantial when you consider the scale and distance of it all. Especially if the destination is Risa*, because they're going to want to take a break when they get home. Just hope that Fullerton isn't there, and how come his first name was "Pascal" and not "C#"? Oh wait, wrong story AND wrong series, so despite the cool programming pun, let me hop back on the Voy train:
He's like what Janeway might be, if she ran out of dilithium and was also evil enough to find the nearest spacefaring dolphin-shaped fritter that exists all over the place and spews antimatter out of its blowhole or whatever. Wouldn't they also keep a few as pets, on in a herd, get some breeding action going on, since it's doubtful that they have procreated across the entire galaxy and would be screwed again once they ran out, in which case there's another story just waiting to happen. And a lot sequels depending on the number of offspring.

Always loved the concept of the Xindi, a fascinating glimpse into a multi-species society and I would love to see more of them hopefully as Federation members. If SNW can remember the Aenar and Denobulans why not have a Xindi on the Enterprise.

They're just in the background so I shouldn't be so hung up on it, but it's so interesting to me that Discovery showed Xindi Insectoid's in the Federation in the 32nd Century - as humans in prosthetics! I wonder what the thought process was to take these previously purely CGI beings and move them into the usual humanoid mold. Why didn't they just go with a Xindi Reptilian?

Next choice is the Gorn (SNW S2, "Hegemony"). Sorry, no offense TOS fans, but this series took the Gorn from "guy in a rubber dinosaur suit" to Aliens-level sci-fi horror.

I was coming for them next. Love the Gorn refresh.

I think the end of Picard season 1 is a mess, but I do love Sutra. It's all working together on that role - the performance, the makeup, the costume, the styling. I wish we'd been able to see more of her.

The NuGorn are an effective scary monster. But if they wanted to make a new alien that has absolutely nothing to do with the ship's captain Kirk fought on Cestus III, why couldn't they give it a new name? (I know! I'm gonna make a new soft drink! It's gonna be served hot and will not be carbonated and it'll taste bitter and I'm gonna call it Coca Cola! What could go wrong?)

After we came down from all the big Pike plot to suddenly get Una arrested by Pike's girlfriend no less was a sudden and shocking end that left me needing the conclusion now. Oh how to be continueds torture me so.

And it carried us to a brilliant courtroom episode with a lovely callback to the short trek.
