With shows, there's also the issue of episodes going missing. I've been tempted to pick up Wings on DVD; I watched it on Paramount+ after watching through all of Cheers and Frasier, because some of the same writers worked on all three shows, but so many episodes just aren't on there.

I know that JAG is that way, too. So many episodes are missing from Paramount+. I have wanted to watch it for a long time (NCIS fan), but with so many episodes missing, I'm not sure it's worth it. But I don't want to buy the series set unless I know I like it. It's a conundrum.

I remember liking JAG when I watched it with my grandfather, but I was a child/early teen at the time (though apparently it kept going until I was twenty? wow), I think I mostly just liked spending time with him.

I would recommend checking out what they have on streaming. Since the series isn't complete there, you can at least use it as a preview to see if you want to make the investment, and then there will be all new episodes when you own it.

Noble House is coming out on Blu-ray. And there is a Criterion Collection 4K for No Country for Old Men. Both are on my radar for next year.

Looks like someone overestimated the demand for Supernatural: The Complete Series on Blu-ray at $250, so right now it's $105 on Amazon, if anyone is interested. It's the repackage version.

Just got Red Dawn in 4k. That film was a lot different than I thought it was going to be.

This week at Target it's buy one, get one half off of board games, puzzles, books and movies. Not everything is part of the sale but most of it is. You can mix and match, like one book and one movie.

I don’t know that one. Mine had Charlie Sheen in it.

The remake had no idea what made the original movie special, or that the movie was a product of its time. It was like a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy.

The remake is best known for spending money after the fact to remove China as the villain (so they could make some of that Chinese box office money) and replace them with North Korea, because if any country can overthrow North America, it's North Korea. And the movie still wasn't shown in China.

So much facepalm...

I'm confused... I thought Target didn't sell movies anymore?

At this point the only brick & mortar places I can find new releases (in my area, anyway) are Walmart, Barnes & Noble, and FYE.

My nearest Barnes literally keeps their Kino Lorber discs in the back due to customer theft, and couldn't give me a title list. The hoops honest people must continually jump. I nearly got physical media on them.
