Whether or not Jane comes back again is kind of irrelevant; bringing the actress back and killing her character off in the same story is/was bad optics and hurt Love & Thunder's quality significantly.

That was really the only good reason to bring her back. Exploring her having cancer should have given the movie depth and a level seriousness rarely touched in Marvel movies. The fact that she is going to die and yet she gets to be with Thor who she still loves and basically save the world would have been great.

I think the new Fantastic Four movie will be bad but not as bad as the previous Fantastic Four movies. It will be as bad as the bad Marvel movies of the last period. But I think it will be similar to Guardians of the Galaxy because of its location and because none of the members of the team will be able to do solo movies or shows. By the way, I like the movies from 2005 and 2007, they can be my guilty pleasure.

But I hope I'm wrong and the movie is good.

What do you base that on? I think the trailer looks amazing and I can't wait to finally get a good Fantastic Four movie. The Thing looks like he was drawn by Jack Kirby. The cast feels perfect and have amazing chemistry. The "celebrity superhero" angle is right out of the comics. I'm seriously hyped for this.

This is my own opinion. Yes, there have been a lot of Marvel movies lately that looked good but turned out to be bad.

"You take something that seems inherently ridiculous, and you figure out the context of it could be."

why does nobody proofread anything

I was - and still am - big mad that she died.

Thor and Jane were my two favorite characters in the MCU, and the fact that Jane was finally returning - and as Lady Thor - had me super excited about Love & Thunder, but her death absolutely tanked my enjoyment of the movie and is the reason I refuse to rewatch it and why the Thor movies overall are no longer in my list of Favorites.
While I was sad that they killed her off, her storyline was one of the best parts of the movie, so I don't hold it against it too much. And I take relief in the fact that she'll probably won't stay dead for long, as long as Portman is willing to come back.

That's the thing. Once you establish a afterlife exists then death is no longer death. While I doubt they will ever bring the character back they could if they wanted to or just let her live happily ever after in the afterlife.

In my opinion, bringing the character of Jane back only to kill her off in the same movie she came back in sends the message that she was disposable and that, if weren't for the decision to kill her off, she never would've been brought back at all, which is bad optics and insulting to both the character and anyone out there in the general populace and/or fandom who liked her.
