USS Titan was perfect. More than perfect, in fact. It made sense from it's very first scene. At least the USS John Luck Pickerd would have worked. Come with flowers, too.
Beverly literally says she hid jack from Picard because she did not want the kid to have a target on him or to lose him in the same way she lost Wesley and his father. Why would that be a problem? Fraternization is allowed, as per Starfleet regs. If word got out that Picard and Beverly had a thing, there'd be no problem at all. There's no scandal in that.
And we can only assume that birth control in the 25th century is 100% accurate. Meaning, Beverly would have only had Jack if she wanted to. So again, it begs the question, why didn't she tell Picard?
Unplanned pregnancies should have long been a thing of the past. With 25th-century medical technology, pregnancy must only exist if it is specifically desired. If Jack exists, and Picard (presumably) did not plan to be a father, then Beverly must HAVE planned it, and deliberately concealed it from him. So why would she do that?

But not by Picard's enemies!!!!!!Which is complete nonsense, because Beverly and Jack were constantly in danger of getting killed with what they were doing.
But not by Picard's enemies!!!!!!![]()
Exactly. The whole logical was utter nonsense and was only there to have Picard have a son, except he didn't have one in the previous seasons and we need an excuse to have a son even though it makes no sense, and doesn't like up with how Crusher or Picard ever treated their relationship.Which is complete nonsense, because Beverly and Jack were constantly in danger of getting killed with what they were doing.
Same. It does the same mystery box story of Season 1 and 2 but features familiar characters so it's ok?The character assassination of Beverly was astounding. What she did was all kinds of wrong. It’s a wonder Picard ever spoke another word to her. I certainly wouldn’t have. I just hate that whole plot. And whatever nonsense it was that connected Jack to the Borg. I still cannot believe many fans consider P3 the greatest thing Trek has done in 3 decades.
Stored until they build another Titan presumedly. And what becomes of the little golden models of the 1777 and the 80201? Just binned, I suppose..![]()
Not this member.I'm starting to see why Section 31 is a hit with some members.
The US Navy commissioned a USS George HW Bush, USS Ronald Reagan and a USS Jimmy Carter while those individuals were still living.Someone who may have tuned into the show for the TNG reunion (without having watched S1) may well have wondered, "Why are they naming a ship after a living officer?"
And so onThe US Navy commissioned a USS George HW Bush, USS Ronald Reagan and a USS Jimmy Carter while those individuals were still living.
What does Section 31 have to do with Star Trek Picard? Just different kinds of bad. And for the record, I don't consider section 31 a hit. I gave it a 4 out of 10.I'm starting to see why Section 31 is a hit with some members.
Well maybe not perfect sense referring to the Titan-A as Riker's old command that Shaw has been captain of for 5 years despite Riker not being on active duty since 2391 and the pre release stuff that said it launched in 2402 despite the season being set in 2401.USS Titan was perfect. One of Lord Terry’s choices in season 3 made no sense? In all truth, being that the whole season is framed around the anniversary of the launch of the NX-01, she really should have been back at Earth and been the one launching out of Spacedock. Would've made more sense than the Enterprise-F.
Meh, numbers. The name was greatWell maybe not perfect sense referring to the Titan-A as Riker's old command that Shaw has been captain of for 5 years despite Riker not being on active duty since 2391 and the pre release stuff that said it launched in 2402 despite the season being set in 2401.
The Titan certainly deserves it's own legacy, it has more than earned standing alongside Enterprise, Voyager, Defiant, Yamato, Curie and Excalibur.Meh, numbers. The name was great

Seriously you think "I hid your kid to save him from danger by placing him in a different type of danger" is good writing? Is this a Soap Opera from the 80s or something. What next, an evil twin? Oh, wait scratch that. If they're gonna be all soapy at least toss in a second character as a possible father!
"No, Worf! Jack's real father is ....Jean-Luc!!!
Dramatic music and fade to credits.

What? They wanted to have a tie in to the Star Trek Online Massively Multiplayer Online PC game, that completely destroyed the continuity established within the game.In all truth, being that the whole season is framed around the anniversary of the launch of the NX-01, she really should have been back at Earth and been the one launching out of Spacedock. I've just decided Picard season 3 isnt canon, it can't even keep continuity with itself so it's less of a headache. Though the upcoming inclusion of Hugh might cause some mental gymnastics but such is the life of someone who can't not overthinkWhat? ( in game it was clearly established that the U.SS. Enterprise 1701-F was a new and revolutionary design launched in 2409; and it definitely hadn't been in service and wasn't retired in 2403. In game they had an actual mission where you meet its new crew, and effectively attend it's launch ceremony.
The whole thing caused a lot of consternation for those who had tried to fit all of STO's continuity into the prime universe; and it wasn't until this sequence in Picard where the developers finally had to come out and admit STO is an alternate universe timeline.)
