Butter Trek!

Okay, I swear this is not faked, this is totally real, accidental Trek art. I opened a new tub of butter and saw this:

I swear! :lol: I almost knifed it off (you can see the dig mark) before i realized what I had. It ain't the Virgin Mary on toast, but holy crap!

There are Star Trek fans in design everywhere.

Pens make for nice greebles, taillights look like impulse drives.

A good way to cut plastic waste would be for containers designed to be starship toy parts once the product is used up.

Take apart a happy meal box to assemble the toy? Cut the box along the dotted line to make book pages and use a sticker to tape the pages into the cover? Sounds like a good idea (just protect it from grease somehow)

There used to be these red plastic sticks used to put cheese on crackers I saved for nacelle pylons.

A lady’s compact for a saucer, etc.

The companies just need to have them all snap fit.

I didn't see the delta at first. I was looking at the round swirl that its resting on and wondering which starship saucer it looked like. D'oh! :lol:
I thought that too, then thought the little circle underneath the delta made the inner mound look like the Death Star, THEN I saw the Delta!
:lol::lol::lol::lol:

I can’t believe it’s not

I know…groan…

:confused: Whut? Maybe I‘m just dense right now, but I don’t see the connection to the thread. I know you mean well, @publiusr, but we’ve spoken about posting seemingly non-sensical links in the past. Either make more of an effort to explain how the link you’re posting relates to anything in the discussion at hand or try to only post stuff that’s obviously relevant. I know you can do it.

I'm thinking that the poster was making a Parkay joke (which is a fairly well known butter substitute in the U.S.)

Ah, I was wondering if it was something like that. Thanks for pointing that out. But still, it’s a bit of a non sequitur, I would say. But alas, it’s a bit of a non sequitur thread, I guess. Sorry for being a party pooper, guys. My general point stands, though: publiusr, a little less link spam, please. Let’s not go over this every year, alright? :)

Took me a minute, but I got it. There were some pretty goofy Parkay/Butter jokes back in the 70s or 80s.
