The unnecessary reboot/remake of the week thread

Watched it during lockdown with my teenage daughters and we all loved it. My wife and I had seen it when it was first out and I think we still enjoyed it just as much. Great to see Mira getting a resurgence after that vile Weinstein scuppered her career.

Indeed, plus I've always loved Kudrow. Really must go for a rewatch soon.

In her married days, Laura Wilder was quite the Republican with no love for Roosevelt II.. So far there have been two televised LITTLE HOUSES, neither version has mentioned that reality so far.
Wiki says she was a Democrat for most of her life. Though Roosevelt is the reason she left the party. Apparently she wasn’t a fan of increased Federalism such as the New Deal. Did the Little House books cover the 1930s and 40s?

The wiki says her views were more in line with libertarian thought. So she might not have jumped to the Republicans either.

Other tidbits include supporting women’s rights, and a brush with infamy for shaking a black man’s hand. Apparently a black doctor has a role in one of the books.,
