I was kind of thinking the same thing. I wasn't a fan of The Spectacular Spider-Man's design style either, but the writing made up for it.
Although I don't think the animation is bad per se; on a technical level, it seems fine. But cel-shaded 3D animation is rarely to my taste, and I'm not partial to the particular art style they've gone for. They're clearly trying to emulate Steve Ditko's designs, and the heavy inking of the early comics, but that feels weird in combination with the slick, modern computer animation.
I, for one, love the animation style, which is deliberately invoking Steve Ditko.

The animation is not exactly thrilling, and of all Spider-Man artists, being based on Ditko is not a selling point for me.

Well that sucks. I guess Wanda' boys won't be seen again until a Young Avengers show or movie or whatever title they go with. Agatha might never be seen again unless they use her in the Wanda movie I hear they might be doing.
Brother, there was a time when I believed that the projects you mentioned would come. Now I approach them with skepticism until they are officially announced.

Did they set up some kind of rule they can't do a second season without Jac Shaffer?
