How about a a story that connects Doctor Who's time war with Star Trek's temporal cold war?

I thought about a Star Trek anthology called Tales of the Temporal Cold War, in the vein of Tales of the Dominion War, about other fronts in the Temporal Cold War that involved other characters and eras in the franchise. And there would definitely need to be a wink-wink-nudge-nudge EDA-style appearance by the Daleks in at least one of the stories, ideally written by Dave Mack.

Back when Enterprise first started and those crossover miniseries were so en vogue with the Trek novels, I figured it was inevitable they'd do a Temporal Cold War one in which each novel follows one of the TV casts getting sucked into something TCW-related. Though as it turned out, by the time Enterprise was finished its first season, the novels were moving away from those miniseries and going towards the more interconnected shared universe they maintained until the Coda trilogy.
I'm right there with you. The Temporal Cold War is one of those things that, even three or four years earlier, Pocket would have done a multi-book, multi-series mini-series either once Enterprise was done with the concept or, if there were more synergy between studio and publisher, alongside the first or second season. As you say, Pocket was moving away from that in the early '00s, and Enterprise tie-ins feel a bit like an afterthought or a missed opportunity.

Not really that surprising. As Allyn noted, had Enterprise started three years earlier, or the TCW concept been introduced at that time, there almost certainly would have been a miniseries devoted to the TCW. But after the Gateways series in 2001, which began two months prior to Enterprise's premiere and finished two months after its premiere, Pocket seemed to abandon those crossover miniseries. The only one released after Gateways was The Brave and the Bold in fall 2002, and that was just two books containing two novellas each. By the time Enterprise ended, interconnected serialized continuity was the novels' thang with DS9 and Voyager novels almost exclusively devoted to their post-finale stories and TNG novels were just beginning in their post-Nemesis setting. Combined with the Titan series just starting and Vanguard starting a couple months after Enterprise ended, Trek novels were doing different things which didn't really leave much room for the TCW.
My Department of Temporal Investigations: Watching the Clock is largely focused on the Temporal Cold War.

Ah. I was wondering what the deal was with the woman on the train, since her presence seemed to have no payoff to the story. (I also have trouble believing that a woman in 1962 would've been so casual about announcing to a total stranger that she was in love with another woman.)
Of course, this will give new fodder to the "James Bond is a Time Lord" theory.
Sure. Make it the same war, with the standard DW and ST universes just two among the many resultant timelines sprung off from it.
(EDIT: And since each timeline might have its own “internal” time-travel-to-the-past events that didn’t happen in the others, in the long run this can lead to time-changing intervention events way back in early universal history [intentional or accidental] leading to entire species never existing or even entire planets that would have formed being prevented by other events there, to the point that species will exist in one timeline but not the other — so no Daleks in the Trek Prime universe, etc.)
(And other timelines where more crossovers are created. Somewhere out there, a Dalek is riding a sandworm.)
