Spoilers Andor - Season 2

They may be using accounting trickery to minimize profits.
Trickery is at the core of how Hollywood accounting works, it's pretty well know that they use tons of trickery and manipulation of the numbers to makes things play out the way they want no matter what happens.
There's even a whole Wikipedia article on it.

Yeah, once you get to a point where a company can charge itself for equipment rental services and claim it as a tax deductible expense, whatever figure they throw out claiming to be a production's budget is essentially meaningless, and no amount of armchair forensic accounting is going to yield anything useful.

Andor writers reading this post: "AW CRAP"
No, the writers know their shit.

Even the showrunner who is self admitted not to be not a fan of the franchise knows what's going on in the timeline. He's corrected people before in interviews about when in the timeline certain events take place.

If they don't use Dantooine it will probably be for a good reason.

I'm also certain we'll see the Ghorman massacre in Season 2 since it's such a key part of Mon Mothma's story with the Rebellion.
