What grade would you give the Marvel Cinematic Universe? (Ever-Changing Question)

Deadpool and Wolverine brought Wolverine back and explicitly told us Hugh Jackman will be doing this the rest of his life. Pretty sure that's the Disney mission statement for the original Avengers too after the relative failure of their successors but sure, everyone act surprised and enraged at every returning announcement...

Category error. You can obviously learn life lessons from comedy, but that doesn't mean that a joke in a movie about Hugh Jackman's future employment should be taken literally as a binding contract or a declaration of studio policy.
 
So, all we have is this message from Evans? He could just be showing up in the end credits scene as a tease for Secret Wars. Personally, I think the best way for Cap to return is for the main team, caught in a different part of the multiverse, seek out help from Captain America. Rogers joins the team, only to hear him say "Hail Hydra" at a certain point and turn on them. Comics fans would expect this of course, so it probably won't happen like that.

If he were only coming back for another cameo or minor role, they'd keep it under wraps. The fact they're letting it come out as news suggests the role is too big to conceal, either from Internet buzz or trailers and such.

Oh yeah, I'm sure he's probably playing a variant, but for me it's just surprise that Chris Evans that actor is coming back after he was supposed to be done. Same goes for RDJ even though we know he's playing a new character.
I think actors really need to stop saying they're done with a certain series or franchise, it seems like they always end up coming back. At one point after Spectre, Daniel Craig said he'd rather slit his wrists than play Bond again, and he came back for No Time to Die. Hugh Jackman is kind of borderline, because I think he left always left appearing in a Deadpool movie as a possibility, even after they said Logan was going to be his last movie. And of course now we have Downey and Evans coming back for Avengers.
I guess it all comes down to how much they're willing to stick to their word when the truckfulls of cash start rolling in, and/or a really great creative opportunity is offered.

People so often seem to overlook the last part of Craig’s “slit my wrists” quote, which was “right now.” He made it clear that after the demanding shoot that Spectre proved to be, he wasn’t in the mood to think about jumping straight into a new 007 movie, but he never actually ruled out doing another in the future.
 
What's the source for this? There is nothing quoted in the articles I've seen. No confirmations from Evans or Marvel. Just the Wrap saying "they've heard". I wish Marvel was like Gunn at DC and shooting stuff down as soon as it pops up. But I guess silence is confirmation?
 
Even Entertainment Weekly is reporting this, and I don't think they usually report on untrustworthy rumors, so I'm pretty sure it's gotta be true.
 
I wonder if he will come back as Captain Hydra. It would be kind of interesting if you basically had him and Downey Jr playing the main villains of the movie. Of course my other theory is he is Captain America from the same universe Doctor Doom is and he comes the MCU timeline to stop him after he destroyed their world. Maybe even expose him, because I still got a theory that Doctor Doom will pretend to be Tony Stark or a version of Tony Stark to get people to trust him. Only for the truth to be exposed. A Captain America from that world would be such a person.

Nothing confirmed yet, but I will say If any Evans appearance in the MCU supplants Mackie's Captain America in any way, it would not be an understatement to say some trouble would head Disney's way.
