Things that frustrate us all

I know I shouldn’t be complaining about snow when there’s SO much awful going on in the world right now. But no matter how much I tell myself that, I can’t seem to shake how it affects me mentally.

We haven't gotten snow yet but ice and already several accidents, including a roll over of a fire engine, a school bus be forced off the road and in to a power pole, and a passenger car roll over.

It's been a very bad day and not even snow out yet :(

I use the air hoses at Costco located in the parking lot near the tire center. You don't have to be a member to use them.
 
One thing I always keep in my truck: a tire pressure gauge/air refiller.

Basically, you connect it to your cigarette lighter (mine also a power cord that you can plug into an actual outlet) and you set it to whatever pressure your tires need to be (30, 32, 35, etc.), press the button, and it refills the tire to whatever number you set it to. (If it's already at the number or above, it won't turn on.) Got it as a gift years ago, but I don't think they are expensive.

Definitely been very useful over the years (as well as never having to pay for air refilling at a gas station again), along with my portable battery charger.
 
So do i, in my car, got a rechargeable one which makes it easier too. Only cost about 25 pounds, we cycle too so good for bike tyres and car tyres. You set what pressure you want, it switches off when done.

Yep, Absolute lifesaver and had a couple of them over the years. (Hose went on one of them and for the pressure gauge, that got a little inaccurate - but it was getting a bit old then)

At home, I'm using a fixed wireless Internet Provider, and an encrypted VPN.

I suppose that's already happened, judging from limitless noisemakers in previous movie theaters. (It's mostly texting there now.) I doubt I'd complain if the library pigs got Max Cady treatments.

This is why audiences loved it in SUPERMAN 2 when Clark trounced the restaurant jerk......but the '80s were so PG-rated then. :borg:
 
The local Target has a lot of stuff locked behind glass doors now, everything from printer ink to socks to aspirin. There's a sign that says, "Secured shelves in the store keep the products on your list in stock." You know what else keeps items in stock? No employees showing up to unlock the door so you can grab the item to purchase!!!

They are commonly stolen and fenced before they can be verified so people have found quick ways to score easy cash. There are a ton of scams, and this has been going on since the Craig List days, of people offering to sell gift cards for a supposed amount on them for half price, and people think they are getting a deal get scammed.

Gift cards do my head in anyway, why should they have an expiry date, £50 for a £50 card but the recipient gets a few months to use. Businesses must make a small fortune from people who don't realize or don't get chance to use the gift card in time.

Legal theft.

My local Fred Meyer just went through a remodeling and I think about 1/4 of the products are locked behind glass now and you have to call an attendant to open up the cases.
Who steals liquid dish soap and laundry detergent?

Yes, recently I waited around by the locked doors for quite some time for some deodorant, pressing the call button at least three times until someone finally showed up.

After that they just started leaving all the glass doors unlocked all the time so they don't have to keep having someone go unlock them for customers and then lock them again. :rolleyes:
