It felt like build up to me to be honest. Putting pieces into place.
With Tory going back to Cobra Kai, in part due to the grief over her moms passing, Kreese trying to prove he's not weak, Johnny wanting to branch out/disagreeing with Daniel or Mr. Miagi. It all feels like it's leading towards more.
It feels cohesive to me.
Guesses...
Tory has to find out and realize that she's not alone. That people care about her.
Kreese needs to get over his own ego.
Johnny was right about Mr. Miagi. Daniel needs to accept the fact that he was human. He can still appreciate him, despite his flaws/faults.
Really liked part 2. Came close with a bit of my guesses too.
Tory seems to be realizing some things.
Kreese has a long way to go. Silver's reappearance was a kick in his face. Considering what he did there, brought back Silver's dark side... he brought things on himself. But it was interesting to see Cobra Kai be a bit of a red herring with the Daniel/Miyagi stuff tho.
Yep. Johnny was definitely right there about Miyagi.
The kid finding Kreese's knife and being killed by it seems to be a parallel to the death in the earlier Saikai Taikai that Miyagi was in.
Guesses:
Cobra Kai and Miyagi Do will have to work together against Silver.
Daniel will find out about what caused the death at the Saikai Taikai that Miyagi was in.
Tori will quit Cobra Kai.
The Korean lady will end up dating Chozen.
I think your guesses are pretty spot on. I would add:
I think Silver will die. And I suspect the truth about Miyagi is that he used to be "cobra kai" in his philosophy when he was young. He was very much like Kreese or Johnny, out of to win at all cost, consumed with aggression, and it led to the accidental death of his opponent in the Saikai Taikai. And it was that death that made Miyagi give up karate and adopt the more defensive philosophy of Miyagi-do that he teaches later. I think this will lead into the moral message of the final episodes that this obsession with karate competition is not healthy. It only leads to anger, aggression, vengeance and ultimately self-destruction. It will parallel the question Tori asked, "is it worth it?". The answer is "no", I think we see Johnny is learning this lesson as he is trying to settle down and have a family. Daniel had learned this lesson at the start of S1 but got sucked back into the competitive world of karate. He will learn this lesson again and be able to finally give up karate. I think Amanda is going to flip out from the death of the student and really pressure Daniel to give up competitive karate for the sake of their kids. I think the death of the Cobra Kai captain will lead Daniel to realize that things have gone too far. I think we will see many of the kids also give up karate and move on with their lives. Sadly, I think the villains like Silver and Kreese won't learn this lesson and it will lead to their downfall.
Problem with the bottom theory is we got a new Karate Kid movie coming up soon that will have Daniel in it.

So revised theory:
So maybe Daniel does not quit karate but gains a new enlightenment where he finally finds the right balance about karate and is no longer conflicted about Miyagi

Is it possible that Mr. Han is from the family in China where Myagi’s ancestor learned martial arts? Could he even be Myagi’s extended family member (vis-a-vis Shimpo’s wife) tracing through an unbroken lineage from 400 years ago? Han’s pacifist philosophy very much mirrors Myagi’s (at least, post-tournament) in practice. I’m thinking Daniel’s search for answers will inevitably lead him directly to Han.Mr. Miyagi's ancestor was Shimpo Miyagi, who accidentally landed in China in 1625. He returned to Okinawa many years later with a wife, children, and the art of Karate. Once back in Okinawa, he developed the style of Karate specific to the Miyagi family.
Miyagi tells the story in Karate Kid II.Mr. Myagi (in the first film? Can’t remember exactly)
