Star Trek: Starships Model/Magazine Subscription

Interesting…and welcome. My Titan shipped from here in the US not from overseas. Dunno why but I was assuming it was going to come from the UK like the Eaglemoss stuff MR was selling.

It's probably the same crappy US-based distribution company that Eaglemoss was using.

got the Titan today. Pretty good looking model. Lighter (weight wise) than I was expecting and a bit smaller too, which is a-ok by me. Paint job looks good.

The base looks identical to the Eaglemoss bases. The only difference is the little ship identifier on the bottom is missing. Mine is a bit wobbly though, probably gonna have to drop a bit of glue in the post.

Just flipping thru the mag, it looks pretty standard.

I’m pleased with the purchase.

Saw someone on Twitter/X posted their Titan-A just arrived. Mine is still a few states away.

In the meantime, I need to figure out where to put these new ships. I previously organized all the DISCO, PIC, and LDS ships onto some shelves I installed. Then more shelves were built to fit the expanse, BSG, and Enterprises. Problem is I ran out of room for another 20 unless another shelf is built. So regardless of if I build another shelf or not, they (the ships) will come. Is this how Costner felt in Field of Dreams?

Payment was taken and DeAgostini chat rep Shila confirmed it was for the Starship Collection. Yay!
Weirdly, I have no confirmation emails and when previously contacting Fanhome, they said I wasn't subbed. It appears my subscription is not linked to my account. I'd've thought there's a link through using the same email. Oh well, I'm just excited about getting the ships.

Yeah, finding room. The universal problem.

Not for a Traveler! Space is thought and all that... ;)

There really is too much merch out there to collect and enjoy. One needs a mansion or warehouse to display it all if you desire to incorporate your love of all things Trek into your home. The ships, the action figures, the physical media, mugs, prop replicas, etc. I've run out of room, personally. And I have to be content with my content. Which I am. I would love to have had the TOMY movie Enterprise reproduction, but it's just not meant to be.

One of my UK friends got the sub. Tracking says his ship arrives in December.
As my subscription exists out of phase with reality, I wonder now if Issue 1's arrival in December would mean
1) every delivery is going to be a month late from now on, or
2) Issue 1 is just late and Issue 2 arrives on time, also in December?

Deliverance!
USS Titan-A has arrived.
It feels light, which is great for swooshing.

When PIC s3 was on TV, I liked the ConnIIIe class less and less with each episode. But having it as a model makes me appreciate it…as a 23rd century ship. It’s graceful and I even like the deflector dish area on the model, even though I dislike that part on the ship in the show and in STO.

Essentially, I probably still dislike the ship but Iooove the model.

Observations:
1. Magazine says this ship was renamed into Titan-A and underwent a refit in 2396 to include OG Titan parts. Calling it the Enterprise-G was the second renaming.
2. In print, the Collector’s Guide confirms the „Bellerophon class“ name for the Farragut.
3. The magazine included an image of a Drexler-made 25th century Shangri-La. It looks era-appropriate.

Musing:
I refuse to accept that the TiA and EnG was the only ship of the class. In my imaginary continuity, the prototype is the USS Constitution NCC-1700-B. I wonder, if there was a USS Picard, what would be its registry number?

I love the Titan, but give that thing the Intrepid's saucer and it would have been perfect.
It took me a moment to realise you meant the new Intrepid, not Voyager.

I think it helps!
