Indeed, though I wonder if they won't go with the "Super Pets" movie version where Krypto hops inside the rocket at the last minute, it's too late to stop him and he makes the trip with Kal-elDude, do you even Superman?

Delightful movie, and a rather sweet spin on Krypto's origin.Indeed, though I wonder if they won't go with the "Super Pets" movie version where Krypto hops inside the rocket at the last minute, it's too late to stop him and he makes the trip with Kal-el
PeaceMaker and Supergirl? It hasn't been confirmed that Alcock will be in Superman, only that she will debut in another DCU production prior to Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. But yeah, Superman seems the most likely place (and much preferable, IMO, to something like Creature Commandos or Peacemaker).
Krypto is a main character in the Supergirl story line so I am not surprised he would make his debut here.Gunn announced on his official instagram that krypto the superdog will be in his superman movie.
I'm not loving that idea. But if anyone can make it work it's Gunn.
Well, the WoT Supergirl is 21, so ....
But, still icky. In fact, Peacemaker with anybody is pretty icky.
Yeah, the entire "Superman's first night in Metropolis" montage was extremely kid friendly, as was a lot of the stuff with Lex. They were definitely "family films" in the same way the first Star Wars was.Even the Reeve films had angles aimed at kids.
SUPERMAN and STAR WARS, as well as CLOSE ENCOUNTERS, were the anomalies of standard '70s fare, lest we forget. JAWS was going to get the R-rating THE GODFATHER and THE EXORCIST had. You had two (almost three) graphic mainstream blockbusters in a row. JAWS opened the door despite its comparative cynicism, then STAR WARS and SUPERMAN blasted it wider, when there was still much DEER HUNTER-style anti-escapism.Yeah, the entire "Superman's first night in Metropolis" montage was extremely kid friendly, as was a lot of the stuff with Lex. Speaking of Robert Wise productions, just how does ANDROMEDA STRAIN maintain its G rating where there's at least one dead nude woman in clear sight? I only noticed this on my fifth viewing. And even ST:TMP was originally G-rated and aside from some scary moments of ships being "processed for data storage" by V'Ger and their crews being zapped into a stream of information there wasn't anything in that film that was going to scare kids or give the family groups who like to monitor the media fodder to lodge complaints about violence, sex and morality issues.
