Interesting. I wouldn't say I'm completely sold, but nothing is setting my radar off as "obviously fake" either. We'll wait and see.

One thing I hope is real is Russell Tovey as the new Master who will be forced to work with UNIT. That does sound like a cool idea.

Most of those are pretty predictable or even expected, until you get those last few.

Like The Wormhole, I hope that particular leak is true. That's something I've wanted to see every since "The Last of the Time Lords" when The Tenth Doctor tried to save The Master and asking him to travel with him. I really loved the idea of The Master as a companion (and not just because we briefly got that in Scream of the Shalka) so I've been continously disappointed that Davies didn't go down that route. As much as I love series 4 with Donna, I really wish we had seen that dynamic play out. Of course, we sort of saw that years later with The Twelfth Doctor and Missy, but it still wasn't quite what I wanted.

That particular leak seems OK, but on the other hand, why not just have what we had previously? I just don't see it, and with RTD I fear a reprise of what he did with it.

Tovey as the Master feels a tad too similar to Simm as the Master, but then it's not like we haven't had Masters before who were pretty similar to one another (Delgado, Ainley)

Those leaks all seem pretty plausable, and I'd be OK with most of them.
The first one could explain the confusion over Ruby's status as companion, and how much of the season she's in.
Russel Tovey as a new Master working with UNIT could be fun.

the scenario outlined for the character also harkens back to that same era.

I've been away for a while and trying to catch up on threads. I've seen the entire season on Disney+ and overall I enjoyed it. The season as a whole was good but felt a little uneven at times. The main frustration I have is that they tease a Susan connection but it never seems to play out. I don't know why but as a fan of the classic era I always wanted a Susan reunion and thought it might happen this year but alas, no. I've seen articles that claim that the show might end on Disney+ after Season 2. Others said that wasn't the case. I get that putting in on Disney+ was supposed to open it to the streaming world, but then you also risked losing the overseas audience that watched it on a BBC affiliate (eg BBC America here) but didn't do streaming or didn't want to add another service. It felt like that was always a bit of a chance of even money on that one. I am a fan of RTD and like what he did overall:
1. The return to a more classic looking console room done on the scale of the current series.
2. The Susan references, but disappointed that they didn't evolve into something of substance.
3. I like the dynamic between the Doctor and Ruby. I just thought the resolution to her birth mother was anti-climactic.

Indeed.

There'd better be Clangers :p (although RTD has already done that joke with the Teletubbies I guess)

RTD also brought back Bonnie Langford, and according to Alan Davies her farts can only be heard by dogs, so high-pitched squeaking has already been achieved. ;)
