Dak gets a four year, $240 million deal. $231 million guaranteed which was probably done on purpose since Watson got $230 guaranteed.
Wow…. Denver just got its second safety against Seattle. 2 safeties in the first half of a season opener. I think that might be a new league record. And both teams are playing like shit.
Update : Denver was an ass-hair’s width away from forcing a third safety! The zebras were kind to Seattle this time, but I think they should have gotten it.![]()
Wow. Deshaun Watson looks bad. There were rumors he was going to try to mope his way out of Cleveland.
Banging the safety drum has always been nothing more than a feel-good PR box to check, complete with lame-ass mandatory safety training. Lots of companies do it, especially in manufacturing and construction. Insurance companies and corporate legal staff probably even demand it for liability purposes. It likely has little bearing on reality. But when bad shit happens (and it always does), they simply shrug and say, “We told everyone to be safe. They just didn’t listen to us!”
And Mayfield really embraced the role, too. It's a shame. I used to pull for the Browns to finally turn it around for the sake of their fans but now I hope they don't go anywhere as long as that ownership group is in place.Browns were fine with Mayfield. Never should've gone after Watson. They finally had a QB to end the endless string of starting QBs from Couch to Kizer, and once Watson is gone it will start over again.
