Dak gets a four year, $240 million deal. $231 million guaranteed which was probably done on purpose since Watson got $230 guaranteed.

What a waste.

Political ads are making this game unwatchable.

The 2024 Falcons look like the same old crappy Falcons, ditto for Kirk "Mister Adequate" Cousins with three turnovers. I can't wait to see them play a really good team. :guffaw:

Wow…. Denver just got its second safety against Seattle. 2 safeties in the first half of a season opener. I think that might be a new league record. And both teams are playing like shit. 😂

Update : Denver was an ass-hair’s width away from forcing a third safety! The zebras were kind to Seattle this time, but I think they should have gotten it.

I've finished watching the first half. I'm tapping out. That is some bad football.

Yeah. When the only points come from QB sneaks, safeties and field goals, a team still has a lot of work to do!

Wow. Deshaun Watson looks bad. There were rumors he was going to try to mope his way out of Cleveland.

Tampa Bay looked better than I'd hoped in their 37-20 defeat of the Washington Commanders. Mayfield seems comfortable with the Bucs' system.

Browns were fine with Mayfield. Never should've gone after Watson. They finally had a QB to end the endless string of starting QBs from Couch to Kizer, and once Watson is gone it will start over again.

Banging the safety drum has always been nothing more than a feel-good PR box to check, complete with lame-ass mandatory safety training. Lots of companies do it, especially in manufacturing and construction. Insurance companies and corporate legal staff probably even demand it for liability purposes. It likely has little bearing on reality. But when bad shit happens (and it always does), they simply shrug and say, “We told everyone to be safe. They just didn’t listen to us!”

Having previously been a parts delivery driver, and now working in a shop, I find it somewhat amusing that the majority of technicians smoke or vape while working while there are "No Smoking" signs clearly posted.
Having said that, the shop manager runs a pretty tight ship and we score well on our monthly safety review/audits.

And Mayfield really embraced the role, too. It's a shame. I used to pull for the Browns to finally turn it around for the sake of their fans but now I hope they don't go anywhere as long as that ownership group is in place.

As long as those fans are alive. They openly embraced the Watson deal and extension. Knowing full well who he was.

Fun day of Football yesterday. I feel bad for Panther fans. They don't deserve that crap of a team. I was thinking they might surprise and get an upset but that optimism was misplaced. Bryce Young is not a NFL QB.

I have no idea how the Bears or Bills pulled out those games. Arizona and Titans chokes in the second half.

The Sunday night game was fun. Lions are a fun team to watch again but hopefully Puka isn't out for a long period of time.
