Between this clip, everyone being bummed at LD ending and the Section 31 trailer being aimed at the general public instead of the die hards, Trek doesn't seem to have had the best SDCC this year.
A la Marilyn Monroe? Is this a saying?Certainly hasn't blown my skirt up.
All trailers are aimed at the general public.Section 31 trailer being aimed at the general public instead of the die hards
We saw him in the clip they showed. He's operating the Transporter.
One of the things they say is, Scotty will come in season 3.
Absolutely. But we can still make fun of it and/or dissect it, as we do every nook and cranny of old Trek.

I really like SNW a lot, and look forward to season three. But I won't deny that the show can sometimes lean into itself just a little too hard. I don't think this clip was the best foot to put forward, but it won't stop me from watching and enjoying S3.![]()
Maybe Uhura looking closer to Nichelle's TMP hairstyle, but not anything I recall seeing on Nichelle's Uhura in any TOS episode.Liking Chapel and Uhura's new haircuts taking them closer to their TOS hair.
Standard cutting tool for most Vulcan maintenance teams.Where is the logic of carrying a lirpa on a mission to repair a power station?
They need to cast Jess in a LOTR role,ASAP.I don't know if this was posted, but this is cool.

Sort of. Definitely seen it before but I think the Vulcans like that timeless beauty associated with Elves. People don't typically associate Vulcans with fine or creative arts.Well since we're on the topic, I once read a wikipedia on Star Trek where the writer defined Vulcans as high-elves in sci-fi theming. Anybody agree with that assessment (and yes I know wikipedia isn't worth the server it's stored in)?
I'm in the 'sort of' camp as well, mostly because in some RPGs I've played elves are sometimes portrayed as haughty creatures whose long life and "advanced civilization" makes them act demeaning toward other cultures they consider less advance or immature. So that's one aspect where they overlap.Sort of. Definitely seen it before but I think the Vulcans like that timeless beauty associated with Elves. So, maybe sort of
And the rifle La'an is holding is also an evolution of the ENT era one.I don't know if this was posted, but this is cool.
