Why single out Legacy? I can discuss the chances of a hypothetical Picard spinoff occurring but not Legacy? A Picard spinoff? It makes no sense.

Maybe someone like Lord Garth who knows the DISCOVERY board well might be able to inform us on how the potential Pike spinoff was handled in 2019-2020?

The Legacy petition did get more votes than Pike spinoff. The PICARD series finale has been the highest rated NuTrek episode thus far in terms of Nielsen data. So it should be more than fair game...

A lot of this comes off as I got my spinoff, now pull up the ladder!

I'm not going to weigh in on how the moderators should moderate. I don't like backseat moderating and hated it when I was a moderator. But, what I can do is say how things were done before in a similar situation over in a forum where I'm a regular poster.

We had discussions about SNW in the Disco Forum until SNW was formally announced, then discussion shifted over to Future of Trek. Pre-existing threads already in the DSC Forum were allowed to run their course.

Again: I'm NOT saying what I think the moderators should do, just what I remember being done before.

In production order, not order of preference. Still haven't sorted the order of preference out yet. I'll do that once I have all five.

Another random encounter with a stranger while picking up some takeout today:

Wearing my NX-01 cap (nobody ever notices this, guess it's a deep cut for the average fan) but a dad with his 2 teenage children coming up behind me notices my 1701 licence plate and says to me "I had to explain that to my youngsters here. Kids these days just don't love Star Trek like we do!". I laugh and agree, then we separately place our orders.
He chats a bit with his kids and then turns around to say "Did you see season 3 of Picard?? That was so good!"

This happens to me all. The. Time. Almost all random strangers enthusiastically bring up Picard season 3. It's refreshing to see what people say out in the world without the cynicism of the internet between them.

I wish we'd have had one more season just to tie up some loose ends. I know we're not meant to know, but what exactly where the now friendly Borg guarding in that one spot. It was so tantalizing and they didn't even drop a hint. Also the EX Borg I wanted that story tied up and maybe they could have been given more help.

I would like to revisit the Reaper Aliens from S1. ALSO... yeah i'd like to see more about XB's but ALSO an incredibly intriguing point from S1 that was kind barely mentioned was the black market cybernetics trade... I want to know more about that!
