the rest of Seasons 4 and 5, Micheal Burnham never bothered asking about Tyler?

Ive watched the first 5-6 episodes of Season 4 and Burnham never bothered to ask about Section 31 and Tyler?

and she never bothered asking about Amanda, Sarek and Spock as what they were up to before they died besides' Spock's Unification thingy?

she could have, but as it wasn't relevant to the plot the audience was never shown it.

well they were important in Micheal's life. More than scoundrel courier Book and his fat cat

If I was Burnham, I would have asked around what Sarek, Amanda, Spock and Section 31 were up to afterwards when Discovery gang went through the time portal yada yada.

Especially Tyler being a member of Section 31. also Pike and Burnham were on good terms too. She might have wanted to know what Pike was up to

They should've had blatant teasers for the other Trek shows via Burnham.

Burnham: My goodness, what the Gorn did to Captain Pike and his crew is so horrific and and I--

Intercom: Captain Burnham, to the bridge.

Burnham: So I was reading about Tyler and this rogue Doctor with a vendetta against Section 31, Julian Bashir, apparently hunted him down and--

Intercom: Captain Burnham, please report to Admiral Vance.

Burnham: And then I was reading about the catastrophe on Frontier Day, and how all those changelings had--

Intercom: Captain Burnham, please report to President Rillak.

She might very well have looked up the Federation's historical databases at some point, it just wasn't shown to the audience. These people are doing things when they aren't on camera, after all.

Or do they stop canonically existing whenever they aren't onscreen?
Of course they stop existing! That's why we have no novels or comics to tie in about off screen adventures. It's kind of like this:

We don't see every second of Burnham's life. All we have are snapshots with a lot of time in between. If we are to pretend she's a real person, then we can pretend she's had thousands of conversations about a thousand different topics and a thousand people.

What is this, a draft script from Picard season 3?

Burnham didn't mention Tyler because she moved on with her life. It happens.

What would Book think if Burnham was always bringing up her ex?

It’s how we get dumb questions like “why did nobody ever bring up the Xindi attacking Earth during TOS or TNG?! Shouldn’t we the audience know about all that?!”

It would have been huge for Burnham's humanity and the show was centred on her. As others have said, finding out other's fates, or at least teases in the case of still-active shows, is a huge missed opportunity.

I was 100% certain she'd find some Sarah Connor style recordings Spock left her. But no, nothing.

Episode 2 of season 3, Burnham lives a whole year before Discovery finds her again.
Doesn't it make the most sense this is when she may have looked this stuff up? Why would she wait longer than that when we see her again, that makes less sense.

Problem there is Unification III does have her saying she hadn't yet looked up Spock's fate.

Forgot about that. Then it's obviously a thing she'd rather not have known. She knows he's dead, the details don't matter or she just doesn't want to deal with the emotions they might bring up. I can see that. If I woke up 500 years in the future, I probably wouldn't look up the final fates of my family members either.

True. Some things are extremely difficult to want to know.

Honestly, Michael not mentioning her still-living mother (however frosty their relationship was at times) during the season stuck in my craw a lot more.

The whole fucking show is about Michael. Not tying in the only family she has left...somehow...it just seems a waste.

While I like the time jump as a concept, the way they handled the crew ALL telling Michael they’ll go with her with no hesitation was one of the most off putting and least believable moments of the show. Like, EVERYONE was like cool with this? Leaving your home and loved ones forever?

And I know the folks writing S3 knew what an audacious choice that was, because we then get a whole episode where the characters acknowledge that everyone they loved is now dead and that they’re trying to figure out how to cope with that. It’s like someone on the staff realized how insane it was and that there needed to be an episode that allowed the crew to wind down.

There’s totally a LOWER DECKS episode you could base on the end of S2.

“Wait, we’re going WHERE? WHEN? Am I taking crazy pills?!”

Well, not everyone, since some crew leave. But, given the shit that the crew of the Discovery has gone through and jumping universes with each other, I didn't find that as much of a stretch as perhaps I would have back at the beginning.

I can believe that actually. She probably blames their Red Angel time travel experiments for ruining her life, don't blame Michael at all since she would have a point.

By the way, was "the Klingons took longer with my mom" ever explained? If Gabrielle Burnham fled via red angel suit immediately, WHO did Michael see getting slowly tortured and killed by the Klingons?

It was just treated so lightly in the moment that it felt crazy to me. Not as crazy as Sarek and Amanda abruptly popping up just to give her a farewell hug and then tapping out within a few short minutes.
