Some interesting Easter eggs, apologies if people already know this.

Murray Gold is playing the piano onscreen during the final song.

That little old lady was only June Freaking Hudson! Costume designer on Dr Who, Blakes 7 etc.

Jeremy Limb, who played the composer killed by Maestro at the start, is the son of Roger Limb who was part of the radiophonic workshop and who scored Keeper of Traken and a bunch of Davison stories.

And finally, is this the most obscure An Unearthly Child link possible?
I, for one, missed all of those cameos, so thank you for pointing them out! I had a hunch the old lady was Someone and I knew I recognized the name Chris Waites and the Carollers from somewhere but I couldn't for the life of me remember where. Otherwise, I didn't suss onto anyone else, particularly the Strictly Come Dancing cameos.

A ten year old (in 2015?)
Although Millie Gibson was born in 2004, I think Ruby is supposed to have been born in 2006, though I'm basing that on behind the scenes information which is not yet present in the show itself, at least not completely. IIRC, it was stated in behind the scenes material the reason her last name is Sunday is because Christmas Eve the year she was found was on a Sunday. The only time December 24th was on a Sunday in the mid-2000s is 2006. So she'd have been eight for a majority of 2015, turning nine on Christmas Eve.

Also Ruby is currently seventeen, for whatever that's worth.

I took my 17 year old nephew to burgers and a movie a few weeks ago.

In the background, on the radio, Summer Loving starts playing, so I say "Hey cool. Grease." and then the little shit replies "What's that?"

We saw Civil War.

He hated it.

Not enough "Pew pew pew!".

Her birth year has been given as 2004 in the show. The Doctor's scan of her at the end of Space Babies also gives her age as 19 years and 3 hours.

Having now seen the clip, I can honestly say The Doctor and Ruby had the same reaction to that Beatles number, that I did seeing bits of these episodes. For much the same reason.

Is there a "God" who does Television?

Is there a "God" who does Television?

There was in American Gods.
And in the expanded Who, it would certainly fall under the Faction Paradox purview, meaning at the end it is down to Father Time.
Edit: In a more serious vein, in elation to screen Who, it would very much be an extension of what the Gods Of Ragnarok were doing at The Psychic Circus. Before Simon Cowell copied it…

Does this guy count?

Yes. It read ‘RTD can’t do research, cos John and Paul famously couldn’t read music’.
But those notes weren't on a stave, so weren't readable anyway. You could get a sense of them but not the actual notes.

I liked this one, not least because music is non-binary, inclusive and for/of everyone.

Anyone else wondering who else will turn up from the Toymaker's family? Will we see a world from which all colour has leached? All metaphor and simile removed?
And with the importance of games, stories and music (so far) is this RTD's manifesto against the denigration of the arts?

ETA next week appears to be about the significance of movement. I see a pattern.

February 10, 1967 - the final chord of A Day in the Life that is made to ring out for over forty seconds was an E major triad (E, G#, and B) over D# and G# in the bass - apparently. Three different pianos and a harmonium were played simultaneously.
