Spoilers Variety about the future of Star Trek

Visitor1982

Fleet Captain
Very interesting article.

It confirms Starfleet Academy is 32nd century, Yeoh is open for a follow-up movie to Section 31, a Picard movie is being considered, Enterprise-C captain is in Section 31 movie, two big Star Trek films in development, including origin story to the whole Star Trek universe (prime) and Frakes directed a Hollywood style murder mystery episode for season 3 of Strange New Worlds...

It also included a new photo from Section 31 and a new photo of a new Strange New Worlds set.

Well, there's something for everyone who ever wanted to see the "lost era." My interest has certainly been piqued.

Here's Kacey Rohl, who will apparently be playing a young Rachel Garrett.

I dig it.
I am very intrigued now. Particularly since I figured if we ever visited the Lost Era between TUC and TNG, it would involve a young Picard on the Stargazer. But this, a younger Rachel Garrett and presumably an Enterprise C is quite the welcome surprise.

Even if there is no Enterprise C, it'll be great to get a more in-depth look into this era.
I hope theyre the SNW Future Pike versions, just to annoy everyone:lol:
No, dude, no. Completely new uniforms. That'll really get the canonistas howling.

The actor who played Rachel Garrett in YE was 45 years old at the time. Kacey Rohl is 32 years old. So using just their real life ages, Section 31 would take place in the year 2331. That’s assuming of course that the character is the same age as the actors, which is by no means certain.

Of course none of this makes sense in the context of Carl’s statement that he sent Georgiou to a time period where the prime and mirror universes were ‘more aligned,’ but at this point I really don’t care.
I wonder who they gave designing ships?

it will probably be either Denning or Eaves, or both imo

My vote would have been Bill Krause, but it’ll probably be Eaves. I wish they would stop using him.

It's actually some pretty damn good casting. I can believe that Kacey Rohl is a younger Garrett.
