I doubt much of that saucer was reusable. The whole underside must be in bits. So substantially the original is a bit of an exaggeration. It wouldn't be problematic as such, but it would be a replica.
At least the D was substantially the original ship, as the saucer was retrieved intact.

Lets be honest the reason the D was easier to recreate is it was made of memberberronium.
That's ok; it will buff right out.I doubt much of that saucer was reusable. The whole underside must be in bits. So substantially the original is a bit of an exaggeration.

It was.I know it was for more dramatic reasons but it just made the whole scene seem contrived
You can still see the scorch marks on the saucer from reentry in PicardI doubt much of that saucer was reusable. The whole underside must be in bits. So substantially the original is a bit of an exaggeration.

Without full power?Really, did they not have any kind of shields up? I thought those stop reentry marks.
Without full power?
I mean...how could it? The stardrive section was gone.Oh ok it's been ages since I've watched it
The production's plan was to destroy the 1701-D so they could replace it for the following movies. Unfortunately, it was the dumbest way possible, easily taken out by a 100-year old scout ship (so they could use the previous movie's stock footage explosion), and then completely ignoring that the saucer section had it's own impulse drives and should have easily been able to fly away from the exploding star drive section.I know it was for more dramatic reasons but it just made the whole scene seem contrived
